It’s a wicked job market to be in. Nothing is outrageous to ask any more!

In the same boat - as a M. What’s the range?

Dang that’s it? RSM was 130

Depends on MBA or non MBA

Not sure about non MBAs but I think latest crop of MBAs was ~ 150k

Thinking about joining Healthcare practice at manager level - what would be “not too outrageous” salary ask?

Thank you M1!

Hi All, Say you have an offer for Senior Test Engineer and SDET (not senior). Compensation is same. Both the companies are good. Given the narrowing boundaries between testing and dev, which position is better in the long run? I thought it'd be SDET. But, I'd like to have expert/experienced opinion.

Think it is really important for us to be able to talk openly about comp across firms. What ranges of salary do your firms have at the junior level? Below is my understanding at Deloitte, but others please correct me if you know of anything different for Commercial Consulting. I know titles will also be different across forms but should be able to match them up. Level 1: Analyst - $80-90k Level 2: Consultant: $90-110k Level 3: Senior Consultant (post MBA): $140-165k Level 4: Manager : $150-180k

I’ve been doing civil defense work for well over 15 years. I am seriously thinking about switching sides. I’m tired of being valued by how much I bill instead of my results. Do you really have no billable hours? How does that work?I make 180k a year, can I get at least that much as a salary doing plaintiffs work?

For those of you senior enough to have a direct report — do you feel like you’re properly equipped to know when and how to champion your junior talent for a promotion/raise? I love my boss as a human but doubting how efficiently she can vouch for me to senior leadership given how she’s typically reluctant to have difficult conversations (she’s admitted to this). Do you think about this often in how it makes you a good/stronger boss?
