Coming to the realization that consulting is not for me (tech person) feeling angry that salaries at D will never be on pair with FANG and that leadership is not tech focused. For example you could be a soul contributor at fang making 240k and people at Deloitte wait 10+ years to earn that as Senior Managers because they need to climb the corporate ladder. It seems super clear cut to me now, if you want to make money in tech don’t join consulting firms. Am I wrong?

Does anyone know if you could file a non-automatic and an automatic change on the same 3115? I have a situation where a non-automatic change needs to be filed to move items from building to 5 and 15 year property as a result of a cost seg. Also want to do the automatic change from 40 to 30 years ADS for Residential Real Property under 163j. Missed the deadline to file the non-automatic in 2020 and doesn’t make sense to do the 40 to 30 change first.

Is there a level in PA tax at which you no longer do crazy overtime and it’s more like 50hrs during busy season? I’ve only seen people working even more as they move up.

I’m trying to leave AWM tax and go to another PA firm. Problem is most firms I’ve talked to want me to join their AWM practice and then transfer to another tax group. Any tips on pushing back without losing job opportunities? AWM is just pure hell and I need to get out.
