It may only be because the work cards would take too long to arrive. And yes per diem depends on location so you get more $ if higher cost city. Makes sense to me?

You also use corporate card for airline/hotel/rental car but can use your own card for other expenses

Your gf should've received a corp card on her first day of work. Per diem is by city. Bigger question is why is she lying to you? What'd you do to be so untrustworthy?

I received a corp card even as an intern. You either use personal card/charge per diem and get reimbursed or charge actuals on corp card. Depends on the project.

She has a corp card as well but was told you can only charge travel and lodging on it. For meals there's a per diem set depending on the city and must use her personal card. Why can't everything be charged on the corp card?

I charge everhthig on personal card because poiints. I even use it to expense team diner.

Personal card for per diem use is for convenience, not a requirement. You then just run the per diem expense to your personal account in one line item rather than having each $2 coffee in your expense buffer
