Hi Nagarrians, it's been 45 days now since I joined Nagarro I was assigned a team at the time of joining but since then I am waiting for interview to take place. Is this normal procedure? Although from day 2 my project manager asked me to fill the timesheet corresponding to one project which is no billable. I am having concerns now as I don't know if this is normal ?

Lab made: cheaper for higher quality and don’t have the guilt around diamond mining (also there have been articles that diamond experts can’t tell a difference, but who knows)
Natural: more expensive and supporting a lot of companies with a lot of problematic labor issues
Natural diamonds only lose value over time as well. Nobody has ever sold their natural diamond for close to what they paid for it.
Lab. It is much cheaper and has way better color and clarity.
I have a lab made diamond!
First, it was conflict free and guaranteed to not have been mined using any child or forced labor. Second, it was better for the environment to not mine a diamond. (Both important to me an my fiancé). Third, my science nerd self geeks out over the fact we can just MAKE this shit. Fourth, price! It was like 75% less than getting a comparable natural diamond to my lab diamond. We used the extra money not spent on a ring to buy bands, shoes, decor etc.
I have a 1.6 carat diamond, VVS, perfect cut, maybe a F color? (I don’t remember tbh) and it has no flaws/inclusions listed in its certification report. It’s beautiful and literally no one has been able to tell the difference. Furthermore, it’s not less “real” than a natural diamond bc chemically, the C-C bonds are the same in both.

I actually think it’s nuts to not have a lab made diamond these days—- use that money for a down payment or for raising your future kids. They literally look the same.
I have a 2 carat oval lab- VVS2, color F excellent cut. The price for a natural compared to a lab is insane. You will have to weigh factors like resale potentially, but a lab was a no brainer. It’s a real Diamond so you get the perks of look and strength and quality without the giant price gauge of a natural not to mention with a lab there’s less environmental and ethical concerns! Go lab! More bang for your buck!

Law Clerk is correct. Unless your diamond is super unique/rare the jeweler you use has an upgrade program with a trade in guarantee and you use it to buy a bigger/more expensive stone, most diamonds (natural or lab) will not resell at the price paid for it. No matter what jewelers tell you, it’s not an “investment.”
Check out the diamond/jewelry resale sites, lots of natural and lab diamonds, none of which are going for even the prices the purchasers paid let alone at an increase.
I just went for moissanite because I truly can’t be bothered to care. $600 bucks and I designed the thing myself.
I did mine at East-West Gem Co
Both are lovely, lab grown are great value for money. Plus, if anyone has the audacity to ask you If it’s natural, ask them if they are natural or have had some help 🤣
Lab diamond. It is much cheaper and you don’t have to compromise on clarity, cut, and especially size…. The jeweler we went to brought out two diamond within budget, and as soon as I saw how much bigger the lab was it was hard to say no. Plus my husband did tons of research and the lab is scientifically literally the same thing. At first I felt offended when my husband brought up potentially getting a lab made diamond, I thought “wow you want to buy me a fake diamond…” but after doing my own research and learning more about it, how it’s conflict free, etc. I was pretty convinced it was the best decision. Some people like natural because it has resale value, however, diamonds in general don’t have great resell value. Others also like natural because you can pass it on, that’s fair, but I guess I wouldn’t mind passing on my lab diamond either.
I had the same reaction when my boyfriend asked about lab. But in doing my own research, it was a landslide to go lab.
I’m looking at diamonds now, and no jeweler has been able to give me a legitimate reason to prefer natural diamonds. A part of me still doesn’t want to get a “fake” diamond even though I know better. I’ll probably end up with a lab-made diamond due to ethical concerns.
Lab diamond. There is nothing romantic to me about a blood diamond on my finger. If I had to buy a natural diamond, I’d try my best to confirm it was from Canada (not that Canadian mining companies are perfect anyways).

Lab all the way. Higher quality, less expensive, far less risk of human rights violations/ethical/sustainability issues in production.

I have both but lean toward lab, and probably wouldn’t buy a natural diamond again unless I found a great deal on a resale or vintage/antique piece. I still think the mark up on lab diamonds is too high, but the false scarcity and cartel monopoly on pricing of natural diamonds is just ridiculous - not to mention the environmental and societal costs.
Neither should be considered an “investment,” no matter what the diamond brokers or Instagram influencers say so I don’t buy into the argument that a natural diamond is better for that reason.
I have a natural 2.5 carat diamond. We didn’t like the idea of a lab created diamond. I wanted one that was created organically and am shook that I get to wear something that took millions of years to form. Didn’t want something just made in a lab. Sorry not sorry 🤷♀️
Also holds its value to the extent I may want to upgrade later. Not the case with lab diamonds
I have a lab made diamond! D color, perfect cut, about 2 ct. WAY better bang for your buck! And no one even can tell it’s lab made.
So I have natural engagement and wedding rings BUT from now on, I want only lab made diamonds. Idk, I really wanted a classic, real diamond set for that but for all other jewelry, i dnt care
Same, and I also didn’t pick my diamonds for the engagement ring but husband picked beautiful natural stones
I have a lab and I couldn’t be happier for all the reasons mentioned already (conflict free, etc.). I was able to get a 3 carat, colorless diamond for a fraction of the cost. I didn’t have to sacrifice on the look or any of the qualities I wanted and I absolutely love it. I used to think I wanted a natural mined diamond but after shopping around, I realize I was crazy for that!
I have a one carat lab grown on my engagement ring, and small lab grown diamonds on the tiara portion of my band. I lovvve my rings, and my whole wedding set cost about $2k as opposed to multiple times that. Because of the conflict, the environment and the price, I knew it was either lab grown or antique for me, and I never found anything on the antique end that I loved.
I haven’t heard a good reason why I should care yet, but I’m open to one if it arises.
I inherited a natural one and supplemented with 2 lab grown (3 stone setting) - lab ALL the way. It’s chemically the same but 30% of the cost
