That's a really aggressive timeline to PMD at Deloitte. Haven't seen anyone do it in 3 in the last 8 years, maybe longer (you need 3 straight years of PMD metrics to make it so super hard for someone to do it in 3). 5 is normal in commercial, 6 in GPS. 4 is early. So, 4-8 would be the timeline I'd list.

1 year could be a fluke, no? 2 years is closer to a pattern, three is consistent. Partners aren't at will employees, right? So you don't want to promote someone to partner and then find out that they aren't living up.

PwC Associate (~3 years) Senior Associate (~3 years) Manager (~2 years) Senior Manager (~2 years) Director (really depends, 4-8 years) Partner/Managing Director For first year associates, there’s technically an automatic promotion termed “Experienced Associate” when going from first to second year associate. I should add these are approx averages based on my experience. Time can really really vary.

You can either move up or horizontally each year. Moving up is better.

Is there really a difference between consultant and senior consultant? Shocked to hear it takes 7+years to make Manager at Deloitte when you can make that in <5 years elsewhere

IBM1, are you saying you want to come to KPMG?

Are there really SMs that make PPMD in three years? I’m guessing if you had been with the firm for several years and you were very well established, maybe?

Yes. Rarer than it used to be (3 to 4 years used to be the expected average time to PMD).

For Up or out levels, is it better to have longer durations to make sure you are ready or do you severely miss out by being in Deloitte if you are a top performer?

You should go up as quickly as possible. Period

Any difference in ladder between Deloitte advisory and consulting?

It’s the same although advisory used to not have the analyst level. We just added it

What is the growth scope /ladder for PMO in Deloitte?

May I know designation for 5.5-6 days experience in EY ?

What is the base salary for consultants?

Lots of comments here … but for traditional S&O, this is an incorrect timeline. This may be true in technology or advisory though. The timeline is shorter on the typical B-School path.

PM = Performance Management. We have SMs who don’t make it through in the standard time frame … that’s hardly unusual. This is for the US firm. And S&O exists just as much as it always has. We just have fewer boundaries to working in non-S&O capabilities after Op Shift and legacy S&O is dispersed across OPs.

Hi Accenture, I am looking for senior Analyst role is there any vacancy?

Also, how is the culture of the other firms. Im not opposed to moving firms.
