Spent 4+ years as CMO of startup company. It was an incredible learning experience but also a very difficult uphill battle trying to steer the owners and the company in the right direction. I’ve just exited the company as of 11/18. The owners expected to storm the marketplace and emerge as a number one brand at only 6 years old without putting in the work.Company had a very hard time understanding the concept of a unique value proposition. Hoping to find a new remote (full time) position ASAP

During the interview focus on your experience and why you are a good fit for the role. Absolutely no reason to focus on the title or even bring it up unless they explicitly ask you, but if they ask you definitely be honest!
Thats the whole point of looking for opportunities right , to take a step above🤷♀️
You got this !!
One thing that worked for me boosting my confidence for next level interviews or any interviews is a kind of cover letter prep.
I put their requirements on the left - my relevant experience on the right. This gives me an easy glance of how much i match what they are looking for, then I prepare for gap fillers with lets say transferable skills 😆
Its all about the experience & how you portray it 🤷♀️
Rooting for you🙌🏻 ! Do come back & tell us how you are nailing the interviews 🙃

No specific advice but here rooting for you!

Literally doing this now. Sell yourself like you’re already operating at the level above. Use the current experience you have and amplify it.
For example, if you’ve implemented 5 processes during your time at your job, mention those 5 and amplify it by saying how it contributed to the business growth set for your region or how the programs created impact in your org, etc. You won’t mislead the interviewers because all things contribute to a high level goal! Also watch some YouTube videos on selling yourself in interviews.
We’ve got this! People get jobs at higher levels all the time.

I would just treat it like a conversation, speak confidently but factually and see what happens!
