Ladies, how do you keep your energy level relatively high to survive the busy seasons? I easily feel mentally and physically tired. I am not a gym goer. Just jog occasionally.

Keep taking care of yourself- schedule things like haircuts, chiropractic appointments, massages and a family dinner night - block your calendar and keep your ‘you’ time. Having something to look forward to can be motivation in itself.

Whatever you do, don't change your sleep schedule for busy season. That's a recipe for quick burnout. And have some activities that are non-negotiable.

For me, I spend 2 hours a night catching up on current events and global news. I also start my morning cleaning and listening to music/podcasts.

There should be sacred times in your day that you're able to maintain no matter how busy you get. These will help you keep work in its separate bubble.

I just try to prepare myself months in advance. I know that I got to make it through the hard stretch, and then it's easier after that. Green tea also helps!

I start to up my supplements that boost my immunity and help with cognitive skills and mental sharpness. For example, b6,b12, fish oil, multivitamins etc and some stress reducing vitamins like ashgwanda to help keep me balanced and still get good rest.

I don’t have a problem managing stress but was hoping there would be some good energy tips.

Sometimes I’m so exhausted I can just work and sleep it feels like. I did have bloodwork done over the last few years and have been anemic and vitamin d deficient. I feel like I’ve got both of those under control now (Mirena IUD for anemia and liquid daily vitamin d drops).

I used to grab a 3pm pick me up of candy and a diet soda. Been better the last few years but that’s what my body craves when I’m trying to push through work and just feel exhausted.

I just to get enough sleep. It regulates my mood and makes me feel so ready for the day. For my mental therapy, I try to read books. It helps me detach my attention and my thoughts from work.

It can be tempting to sacrifice sleep to get more done, but it's essential for your energy levels and overall wellbeing. Just try to stick to a consistent sleep schedule even during busy times.

I’m feeling down. 😢 After 3 failed IVFs with the last one ending in a chemical pregnancy I sought the opinion of a second fertility doctor. She said given my age of 45, my husband and I had the same chances of getting pregnant with another round of IVF with my own eggs as I would naturally and wouldn’t move forward with IVF, only with egg donor. My AMH is 2.6 and FSH was 7.4 just this past month. Should I ignore her and seek a third opinion? Not quite ready to go down the egg donor route yet.

For those who were diagnosed as an adult can you provide some insight into how you were able to obtain a diagnosis. I went to my primary care dr who referred me to another dr who specialized in mental health. He asked me about 5 questions before telling me I should see a neuropsychologist for an official assessment. The referral he gave me is super pricey and apparently isn’t covered by insurance. Is that normal?

Thought I’d share an amazing nugget I got from my therapist this week about how anxiety and depression is also tied to our nervous system. We tend to move up and down throughout these different stages within our nervous system, tied to physical symptoms of anxiety/depression. If you’re struggling with treatment resistant mental health issues, or just in general, Google “Vagus Nerve Exercise”. It helps reset your nervous system. Hope this can help someone else too!

Having health insurance is such a game changer. I’m fixing issues that I’ve had to endure my whole life all because my parents favored their beliefs/religion more than their children’s health.

I’m talking ADHD, anxiety, depression, vaccinations, deviated septum, allergies, sleep problems, migraines, fixing broken ribs and bones in my feet. I’m so grateful I can now address these issues in a meaningful way but so frustrated on the potential and opportunities I missed out on.

Rant over.
