Ladies, how much would you spend on a bridal shower gift for a coworker you’re not personally super close to, but work with a lot? Got an invite which was sent to all coworkers including men. Registry has cheap items and gift card option so the bride probably doesn’t expect much. But what’s a decent enough amount you would spend that’s not too embarrassingly low? Obviously can’t buy a $5 item?

$25 is a nice gesture.

My department of 15 people got me a $150 Amazon gift card collectively and I was absolutely thrilled and shocked (I didn’t have a registry). Can you go in on a group present so each person doesn’t spend more than $10?

like

Your team should all go in on a giftcard. 10-12 of us coughed up $325 for a girl on my team. Everyone gave different amounts.

But my general rule of thumb for co-workers is over $20 - under $50

I’d say $15-20 is the max I would go given your relationship with the coworker.

$20-$25

Interview went well, Total 7 ppl interviewed me. I accepted offer verbally. Then I got promoted and I shared that to recruiter and my current compensation and offer are same. I shared my difficulty to recruiter as it will be a lateral move. He said he will get back to me in 1 day. Its been a week I haven't heard back.
1.
What should I do. (I am excited for this new role also extremely happy with my current employer)
2.
Is it normal for recruiter to not keep their words about communication?

I have a call on Monday for an in house job where I’d be drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in areas that I’m not familiar with. I applied to the job because it’s in an industry I’d like to break into and at a company I adore. To note, I’m currently a first year lit associate. What questions should I be prepared for regarding transferability of my skills? Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Realistically, what are my chances of getting into MBB as a consultant? Do I even have a shot at an associate consultant role?
