Hello, everyone! I am new to fishbowl, the Healthcare field, and fairly new to my company. One of my primary goals, besides finding the highest quality talent to join our team, is to expand my network. If anyone here is willing to send me a LinkedIn connect request I would be very appreciative! It will be a mutual benefit, I assure you. (I am at my weekly limit for sending connect requests)

Could be a yeast infection. Sometimes STIs do take a while to show symptoms though. Better to get it checked out.

When i was single and dating, i was tested between partners. My GYN told me she felt i was over testing myself and i was like - I’m paying for it so run the labs, lady.
I try to get tested for STIs after every single partner and visit the gyno at least once a year for annual checkup, Pap smear, etc. If I have any symptoms or an issue comes up then I’ll make an appointment to see what’s going on down there

With a new partner. Yes it is true some STIs have lead time to symptoms (some are asymptomatic for some people). On balance of probability, things like thrush and UTIs are more likely. But if you have insurance covering the test, why not get it (FYI there’s some STIs doctors will opt not to screen for unless you’re actively showing symptoms, like HSV aka herpes).

Sounds like yeast infection, but go check out that as well and do a panel while you are at gyno :)
Doesn’t it make more sense to get your new partner/yourself get screened for STDs before getting sexually active with them?

This is what I do

Before I was married, I did testing annually always and then before becoming exclusive with someone/stopping using a condom - and asked that they do so as well. I was always on birth control but always used condoms until in a relationship and then had me and partner do a STD screening before changing that protocol.
I agree that if you haven’t been sexually actively in awhile yeast/uti/bacterial vaginitis/ect are much more likely. I’ve had all of these at some point and they can be a pain but are not stds.

Could be a yeast infection but go to the doctor to get checked.
