Whats the name of the program at Deloitte that allows you to leave your project for 8 weeks while you look for a job?
Roommate is 2 levels above me at D in the same practice. She may be a great consultant, but she's batshit insane to live with.. how do I move out w.o. starting shit in case we're both on a project??
Do expense amounts get escalated regularly? For everyone? For some reason they escalated a charge of 128 dollars for WebEx which is required for the client . What happens next? #ey
If your agency wins a proportionally significant new account, what is a reasonable amount of time client should allow for staffing up and onboarding? Follow up q… how strict is your agency about starting work before contracts are signed?
Just Sr'ed my first project; my whole perspective has changed and I understand all of the frustration that Sr's like to post here.
Looking for advice. I am new to the firm and on my second engagement. The manager that I am working with is the most negative person that I've ever met; he constantly complains about the firm, the project, clients etc and never appreciates any efforts. I realized I spent so much internal energy to elevate the mood (it's only 2 of us in this engagement) and this started taking a toll on me. I am also worried that he will give a negative feedback on me as this is his behavioural pattern.
How do you (politely) tell your clients that they invite you to too many meetings everyday? I’m in 6+ hours of client meetings every single day. I feel like I work for them (I’m agency side for a reason) and it’s challenging to have relationships with my internal team because I’m never around! Not to mention my actual work suffers.
Do firms discriminate based on school? I’m from a top 20-ish school and my colleague is probably from 100-150ish school. Same project, both college hires, I get 2x his workload but also get more pay than him. Is this common? I’m just surprised because he’s just as qualified as I am.
How can one get off a project because the client is delaying system access along with wanting to shift up deliverable submission date? Is this even a legit reason to roll off?
Associate here. Had a director who was a hardcore feminist, to the point where she blamed client unhappiness on their hatred towards female professionals and sought for all-female teams...
Client and team often compliment me for my awesome work ethic because I'm always last to leave. I'm actually just fighting depression and use work as a way to avoid going home ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Have the opportunity to invest in a commercial real estate project that a buddy is pitching through work. What are some rules of thumb or items to keep in mind when performing my due diligence?
Hi Guys, i am planning to shif my career into different technology as i dont have relevant project experience on that technology, is learning technology is sufficient to manage in IT industry? Please suggest Thanks.

What do people think about the John Deere and Kellogg strikes? Feel odd as I have worked with one previously as a former client, and now they are being vilified
Guys selected in TCS. Did you have delivery head round after TR,MR and HR. I too had that round and already got the offer but what was that for ? Is it for people who are selected or mapped to a project
Can anyone shine light on what Client Strategy / Account Management roles pay? 3 years of experience, NYC, startups
Is it ever appropriate (assuming you two are not close but are friendly) to vent/rant to your career manager about your project? They are the ones that can help you since they’re in charge of your staffing but it may hurt your career advancement in the company.
Best job to get to transition into HR? Does anyone know where to start in HR please? My goal role in 5 years let’s say is Chief People Officer / People & Culture Director, etc. My background is 12+ years in customer/client experience, coaching, sales, and account management. I’m finishing a Lv7 executive coaching course and starting a CIPD Lv5 people management course. Any ideas on what roles I can start with? Don’t care if it’s a simple role, getting in with a good company is important.
I’d love to discuss best practices for leave management. Anyone have any tips on which systems to leverage (HRIS, etc.) and approval workflow that they’d like to share? 🙂
Hello, I did get 15 likes but I'm still not able to message directly, is there something else I'm missing out on? I'm still getting pop up which says get 11 likes to get DM enabled. Thanks in advance.
Can anyone speak to working at Capgemini? I feel the momentum starting to build there with hiring. I’m ready to leave AVAAP like yesterday, but want to land somewhere better (not that it would be hard to do coming from AVAAP).
I asked managing partner to assign me with a very experienced senior attorney in our office who used to be a partner in another firm. The senior attorney has pushed me aside and is not letting me do anything on the file but be on standby if they need me. I’d like to have a little more certainty. Basically, if I am staffed on a matter, I need to know my scope of work. Otherwise I need to mentally check out. Am I being unreasonable?
Hello All I have 6.10 YOE. I have been working with TCS for the last 2 months as an ITA. The problem is, I have been assigned into the internal project where I'm not interested to work into it. I was not informed when I asked HR during onboarding time. She said that will be disclosed when I joined the organization. As I have recently joined this organization, I really don't want to move out of this organization but wanted to move out of internal project. Please suggest me a suitable option.
My firm conducted an anonymous survey about a range of topics including compensation, outlook, satisfaction, etc… turns out they were able to track it back to specific offices and levels within those as well. Doesn’t that ruin the whole point of anonymous if you’re part of a small office?
I recently started at a larger software company as an AE. As I’m getting more into the process, I’m finding things odd. Like, cold calls and emails are metrics I’m judged on more than closed won business. I know that’s part of the job but it seems strange I’m judged on it so heavily. And, I seem to be the first real outside AE hire as everyone else seems to have been promoted up from SDR roles, including all of my direct management. I’m questioning if I made the right move. Stick it out or look?
Thinking back to when I was in school. What do teachers have to do now that they didn't 20-30 years ago? What do they need to provide now that they did not have to provide back then? I don't recall buying anything than pencils/paper/folders. We covered our used books with newspaper or paper bags Classrooms were simple, not every inch of wall space was covered in charts, etc. The districts/teachers supplied nothing extra. What changed that teachers have to spend their own $ now?
Are all the projects in Deloitte development or there can be support as well? What are the chances that I get development work in GCP area being a Data Engineer?
Are people observing details at home that they had never noticed before? With a lot (!) more time spent WFH, the color of paint, the reflection of light, peacefulness of the backyard, ...
How much should compensation be for an experienced prospector? One who networks in the community and sets appointments. How much in salary and how much in quarterly and annual bonus? What should quarterly goals be?
Anyone exit for client strategy / account management? Can you share thoughts and comp info
Two recruiter talks coming up this week. Q&A with a headhunting agency CEO on Wednesday, and TikTok on Thursday. Check the Live bowl/tab for details.
Weather forced our plane to land in SC instead of Atlanta.... Gotta love extended Thursday travel days. 💆♂️
I had to design a birthday card for a client to surprise his son (I got briefed on it as a job) other day I had to make an excel sheet look better for other client. An account manager had to search himself and book personal flights for a client. A sr. copywriter had to revise a presentation the client wrote for his personal meeting. I’m talking about senior professionals, awards, used to big productions, in different big name agencies. Is it unusual or also happened to you?
