Ladies- I’m itching for a show to watch that is a female lead cast, and coming up short. Literally can’t watch another medical/legal/crime drama. Something like girlfriends guide to divorce or a more evolved SATC. Any recs?

Agree with a lot of suggestions already said. Also - The Good Wife. Although you might think it's about men in the first five min, it's not and Alicia is one of the best female characters ever. I am sure you've already watched Orange is the New Black but that deserves to be said. Broad City forever.

like

I stan Alicia, Kalinda and Diane!

Not a fiction show, but Sam Bee's Full Frontal is great. Also, A Black Lady Sketch Show is hilarious. If you like HGTV stuff, I love One of a Kind - Grace is a very unique designer. And any of Michelle Wolf's comedy specials or her short-lived show will have you 🤣. If you want throwbacks, Murphy Brown, Designing Women, Maude, Mary Tyler Moore, Golden Girls, Kate & Alley... not sure if any/all of them are available online, but worth it.

I accepted a new job, they said PTO was “generous.” I find out it’s 19 days a year of PTO (which includes sick days). I have two young children and we like to vacation 1-2x a year (no more than a few days away each time). Am I crazy that this is pretty limited time off? 8 of the normal holidays off during the year (working the week between Christmas and NYE). Thoughts? I dont know if lack of PTO is a good reason to back out, is it?

However, within the first few weeks I suffered a major medical setback which led to a crippling bout of depression. I am finally starting to feel like a person again but I'm afraid the ship has sailed on my having success in my new role.

Hi! I have two offers and I’m not sure what to do. One is with a small firm that serves as outside counsel to medical practices (leasing, employment issues and acquisitions are primary work load) and the other is in-house for a pharmaceutical company (managing outside counsel, vendor contracts, privacy). The firm pays much better (1800 hours, flexible wfh) but I feel like the experience in house would go further in becoming a GC down the road. Please help!
