Ladies, looking for advice on when to tell job that I’m expecting. I am due early November. I’m on the bench, so being considered for multiple rolls. I’d start and then have to go on leave 2-3 months later. Any advice? Are there any specific rules? I was thinking of telling HR 30days out to start leave conversation. TIA!

I’d disclose now and use to optimize staffing to shorter project if possible (easier for team). I think middle if second trimester, or end of it at latest, is right. 30 days seems short, and babies do come early.

I told them at 20 weeks for planning purposes and also for protection. Also due November!

I also told our HR at 20 weeks ( I’m 32 weeks pregnant ).

At Accenture you wouldn’t be let go for being pregnant. If you’re let go ( from any job) you must be given written reasons for the dismissal and the dismissal must not in any way be related to your pregnancy or intention to take maternity leave. It could be due to performance related issues or liquidation of your position at the company ( which at Accenture, unless they would dissolve your practice I don’t think it would take place)
