Hi fishes, what are the chances of Pwc AC rescinding an offer, given the market condition. The offer letter I have received seems to be generic and doesn't look it is for a specific project. The role seems to be generic. I am a little hesitant, specially because of HR's behaviour who doesn't seem to care responding to my queries and ignores all my emails and calls. Any advice?

Do good work. Honestly, no one gives a shit what your hair color is or how small you are. Do good work. Do what's asked if you. Recognize that you're "new" and will get a lot of the grunt work. Excel at it. Ask for more.
🤦🏽♀️🙄 @SA1
OP, be polite/professional around your client, but with that demographic, they're not going to change how they think. worry more about the higher ups on your team respecting and knowing your work. dont let the guys on your team take credit for your ideas (like hold them accountable if they just repeat what you said like it was their idea). you got this 💪🏽🙌🏽💁🏽
D2 - no. You're right. Definitely act like a crusader being persecuted for your hair color , size and gender. That will ensure you're successful. Good plan.
Leave it to McKinsey to synthesize everything into one concise sentence
Die your hair brown / poop colored, gain a bunch of weight, wear glasses, stop wearing makeup, and make everyone in the office sandwiches every day. I would keep you around if you did that
Stop thinking and projecting urself like a blone
Be yourself. Sounds like you already stand out - now you have a chance to use it to your benefit. Don't be shy!:)
@P1 & @P2 which world are you from? Get real.
I know what kind of client- a resident run retirement home
Just have the right attitude, where you want to learn and are engaged. At some point when you are comfortable, stop being the new kid and own whatever it that you are doing... that'll get you respect like no other
^kiss ass
@s&1 In my defense, I also called mck1 thirsty before complimenting him!
Lol @mck1 took it as underhand when I was complimenting him
Try to find out if any of them have daughters (or grand daughters your age) and ask about them publicly as pre-meeting banter before every meeting... Force them to come down to the human level...
This post is a joke. I know plenty of petite women who command any audience they're in front of. You need to find your own strength and stop feeling powerless. 🙄
You got this!
Try to find a way to relate to them so you can engage with them and bridge that age gap (invest in talking to them outside of just work stuff). Trust and respect can be earned in time. Be sure to bring something to the table that either they don't know or that is truly your specialty. Work ethic speaks wonders too. Work hard, be responsible, plus charm them! Charm never hurt anyone! 😉
@SA1, How the hell was I supposed to know you were my bro? You had your invisibility cloak on!
I think @Mck1 had a bad day today and is trying to take it out on us
But seriously folks...clearly some of you are clueless about what petite women face. Asian female here, have had this issue periodically depending on client demographic. Maybe it's psychological, but I always wore (and still wear) specs at work to look older. I do think the right attire (which will depend on your client) can signal that you mean business. Fortunate that I have a low pitched voice and trained myself to sound authoritative even when (especially when) scared s***less. Goes without saying that you rock your delivery. Can't please everyone, but ideally, make sure you have a positive (professional!) connection with your key exec sponsor.
Thanks everyone who had helpful or encouraging responses! Everyone else, go fuck yourself. I'm not new on this client and I have been working my ass off. While of course there are young people working at the company, the client team I work with doesn't have a single woman or any men under 60-65.
As a reasonable guy, I hope that's not serious 👆🏼
