My bf and I were both approached by recruiters from the same tech company for the same role on different teams. We both have the same YOE, same degree from the same school, etc etc. Mid process he ended up not getting this role but reapplied for the same role one level higher with another team. He got an offer but they leveled him down (back to the original role) based on YOE. (Will continue in comments)

Is there anyone who works producing IVR and on-hold audio? I do currently and am stuck in a rut as I believe we are incredibly underpaid, but due to the nature of the role being so unique, finding other job listings to compare it to is quite a challenge. 👍

Round 2: Hiring manager round. After round 2, HR said, there is restructuring in the team and the role no longer exist.

This happened in April. Now, I joined another company in june (not ecommerce).

Whenever I hear someone pitch to me about software, I always have to pitch back to my non-tech savvy team about which software we need and why. I can provide these for my current company, but difficult to get for earlier ones, since it's been almost 10 yrs I have left them. I have written to hr of previous companies but no response yet.

I’ve been at my new gig for just over a month now and haven’t really gotten much work / responsibilities despite having heard that everyone is very impressed and pleased with my work product. Weeks are looking like any where from 20 to 8 billable hours. I know it’s just a month-ish in, and I plan to ask for more work but I feel like the low hours just look bad / unacceptable.

I live with my SO (for ab 6 months now) and need advice. I do almost everything - cooking, cleaning, laundry, make bed, organizing, etc. because I enjoy it and had to do those things before he moved in anyway. He does a couple things like taking out trash but not much overall. I always ask him to help out in other ways, and he says he’s happy to, but he takes so long to do it id rather just do it myself.
