I would say something very personal that brightens up the day every time SO sees it. Perhaps a framed collage, custom book with your story, a pup, monogrammed locket from a boutique jeweller? Has SO wanted something to do/want/been planning for sometime? Maybe a step towards that? And always a good idea to make the hunt exciting around the house. Quarantine days warrant excitement!! Of course it all depends on what makes SO happy

I just bought myself a roomba bc I’m home a lot more and got kittens And I freaking love that thing. Makes my weekly cleaning so much easier. So she might like it if she is a clean person.

I’m also into makeup and girly things. Make up is hard to get bc that’s different for every girl, but I really like Marc Jacobs daisy Eau So Fresh perfume. It has a big flower on the bottle cap and it smells so good.

Done!

Whee as t does SO like? Cooking? A big fancy knife. Runner? A theragun. Yogi? Membership to a great online studio. Bored? A peloton. Fashion? A really high end cashmere wrap for fall. Outdoorsy? New retro style Patagonia fleece. Homebody? A oversized knit weighted blanket.
I’m good at gifts, but I need a little info!

Yeah these are all layups, but looking for something unique and out of the normal

Organize an experience. Like a surprise picnic with chilled bottles of wine & takeout from favorite pre-pandemic restaurant. Don’t forget the picnic blanket and Spotify playlist on a Bluetooth speaker. Or a night away at a (sanitized) beachside Airbnb.

Standing desk, New workout clothes, air fryer, robot Vacum, hammock, Venus et fleur roses (these are real roses that last a year), massage chair, Cartier bracelet.

Piggy-backing off it this. Instant-Pot is also awesome but it might fall in the same category as the vacuum. Other gifts could include a massage, facial, massage gun, acupressure mat, a set of stress balls that increase in hardness, stress-relief candles - or any nicely smelling candles, diffuser with a set of essential oils, a nice soft blanket.

You are asking the wrong people. The key is to be watching and listening to her throughout the year. What are her favorites stores? Designers? Hobbies. If you get to the big day and have no clue you haven’t been paying enough attention.

OP: You make a good point! Brand Strategists, of all people, should know that a little market research is helpful to find out the target audience main needs and desires.

I always love getting new workout clothes. Even more so now when that’s all I wear :) I love to cook, so I’d be happy with some new kitchen gadgets, especially since I’ve been cooking a ton more lately.

Like someone else mentioned an experience is always good. Not sure where you’re located, but vineyards in my area are open to have picnics. I think that’d be a great birthday date.

People making a lot of money ($250k+), how many hours do you work and are you happy?

For the past few months, people have been praising police officers and other front line workers. But now, a sudden turn of events.

There is a problem, but let’s not criminalize the heroic police officers for the racist acts of some individuals. The best solution, in my opinion, is that we need to specify the problem and resolve it by appropriate action on those individuals. That officer needs to be tried in court for murder to provide justice for what he did. But let’s not punish every officer.
