I see no harm in seeing if your company will match. It used to not be recommended, but I think with this hot of a job market (and obviously assuming you message it respectfully), it’s not frowned down upon to ask your current employer to match.

I was in this situation before. Took the offer. Career wise it was the right move but that red flag turned out to be a nightmare. There's no right answer here unfortunately
Strong disagree. Take this offer, find a new role interview and use this offer for leverage
Don’t waste years of your life, and well being, on pre-identified red flags
Are you reporting to the red flag? Can you speak privately to someone else at the org, to get inside info?
It’s easy to change a reporting structure on paper and harder to isolate you in day to day operations. Will you still have to work with this person? Will the change in supervision make them even more insufferable towards you snd set up a bad dynamic from the start?

Get the supervisor in writing for a minimum period of one year. I had a similar deal and 2 weeks after joining for our under someone I specifically asked not to report to. Biding my time now.
What was the red flag? I’ve gotten some concerns before, but it would be helpful to know what other people find concerning as opposed to what is just normal concerns or job switching worries
I would take your gut seriously on the red flag issue. It might be a good idea to consider someone else’s suggestion of at least getting it in writing that you won’t be reporting to that person. The worst experience I’ve ever had career-wise was working under someone for whom I’d ignored the warning signs during the interview stage.
