Ladies working in male-dominated industries, how often are you asked by customers if there is “someone else” they can talk to?

I don't really get it, but it must be awful.

I work at a performance auto parts store and this is basically a daily occurrence. Either people feel they need to explain what something is, or ask for someone who "might understand what they're looking for."

Wow :/

My wife was 4 month pregnant when she gave interview at Harman Con. Before interview she clearly communicated same to recruiter and he was fine with that. After interview she got selected and received an offer letter. Which she accepted and put resignation in her current company. to complete 80 days b4 to take pregnancy leave in org she fought hard and negotiated her notice period of 3 months to 45 days only. Now harman is denying to take her onboard. She can't take resignation back. What to do.

Hello Magic Fingers, Looking for your quick suggestions - how to deal with the Trace errors? I am getting trace errors on certain cells whenever I download any datasets out of JDE. For example if an item code is only Numeric then JDE returns that as a Trace error and whenever I use a Vlookup or Index-Match to find something, it always returns NA , because lookup value is 123 and the lookup array has ‘000123. Since I work on more than 200K lines, Excel takes forever if I try to convert to number

Someone may need to hear this today: a staff/senior kissing your a** doesn’t make them a high performer. Your highest performers are probably quieter and don’t seek out attention for their hard work. Make sure you still pay attention to them and recognize them for their efforts, and for f**k’s sake please be able to distinguish between a legitimate high performer and someone who’s just a kiss-a**. You should be rewarding the former, not the latter.

Omg. I just spent 36 minutes explaining to a man how to turn his son's toy on and make it work. The first question was "does it have a functional battery?" and he said yes.

After 34 MINUTES he decided to check if it actually had a battery. You know the rest of the story...
