also i've always got to plug this -- STOP the pill and get an IUD or the nexplanon (in your arm). the hormones are lower because they go directly to your blood, you can choose one that regulates or doesn't regulate your period, and you only have to think about it every 3-5 years when you need it changed. way more reliable, way easier, and way less stressful than the pill
Are there bigger assholes than the first two respondents to this thread?
I have. Every pill is a different dose/combo of hormones. Annoying but if your body reacts to this pill better than other ones, still a net win
I only switched from ortho tri cyclen to tri estarylla. No changes in diet (I consider myself a relatively healthy eater plus no processed foods if I can help it) and I'm still exercising regularly, so I'm wondering if that's the cause.
absolutely! changing the hormones in your body completely changes the game in terms of weight, metabolism, acne, basicallly everything we try to control. i've fluctuated -/+10lbs from changing just the pill/bc that im on with all the other variables constant. the weight evens out though, it's not permanent!
Plus you can fuck at the drop of a hat!!!
Yes. Anything that is progesterone focused will make you gain weight, I've learned. Did you switch from estrogen to progesterone focused methods?
IUD is the way to go.
How do you not know this already you're an adult and have google and a doctor
It's always the birth control. I hate that shit
I cannot wait til menopause!!!! Turning 45 this year and counting down the months...
Lazy fish spotted
Yep. Happens everytime. Can't wait to stop this BC nonsense. Just 6 more months lord and then 👶🏻!
LOVE my hormone free IUD. Definitely the way to go and wish I had stopped taking the pill years ago. I never realized how crazy it was making me.
You might need to drop more than a hat to fuck!
I decided to go off birth control and everyyyything has been better. No more acne (even though we're told it helps acne), no more dandruff, my periods aren't as bad, AND I lost weight
I have the IUD and it's giving me so many problems :( still worth trying if you don't want the pill but just be aware it's not a one size fits all solution
ACN1 I know about it already I just wanted to hear personal experiences and how people figured out if it was the birth control or not (without having to switch bc again so quickly)
