Try the doctor first! Happened to me and ended up being a thyroid hormone issue
Definitely see a doc to rule out any endocrine/thyroid issues! Another thing to check is your long term iron stores (ferritin level) as mine was super low a few years ago and I was losing hair like crazy until I started taking daily iron supplement. Good luck!
Thank you ladies! You rock! I'm guessing poor iron and definitely stress
Try castor oil where the thinning occurs, It helps promote growth. Nixon is cool but results typically revert when you stop using it. Start taking hair/skin/nail vitamins if you don't already and increase your biotin intake if your taking vitamins already. Definitely see a dermatologist to make sure it's not a more serious issue than stress. Lastly get rid of whatever is stressing you out!
A friend of mine uses nioxin shampoo. I second the A1's comment. Could be health, related to diet, hormones, or stess
Stress. Make sure you eat healthy. I had the same problem a few years back and it was all due to stress.
Women's rogaine 5% I swear by it - saw a derm and got all the blood tests and this was the ultimate recommendation. It works! Also something to keep in mind - it takes about 6 months for a really stressful event to show in your hair. Can you think of anything around then that may have triggered something temporary?
B12 shots every four weeks at the dermatologist's office. Lost a lot of hair due to thyroid condition. These saved my hair.
👆 and Viviscal.
Yea try switching up shampoos/conditioners and go easy on the chemical products for a few weeks. If it doesn't work def see a dermatologist. A lot of times the doc will attribute anything he/she can't explain to "you must be stresses about something" lol. But it could definitely be true.
Yes, hormones
I use Nioxin too. Also, don't wash your hair/use heat too often. Drink water, eat veggies.
I would see a dr. And start shampooing less. Like only 2 to 3 days a week. Lighten up on heat. And invest in dry shampoo! Good luck OP!
echoing the others who say get your thyroid checked
Biotin too
Jamaican castor oil!!!
Excessive caffeine can cause hair loss as well
Too much dry shampoo will also thin your hair.
