Any Houdini artists here?
We are slowly finding ways to be less reliant on Maya and explore more into Houdini for everything except character animation. We are exploring how Blender can fit into the pipline too.
Has any of you moved from Maya centric pipeline to Houdini centric, how has your experience been?

@OP. Assuming it's the same as PwCs policy, I would TOTALLY opt out of CRT the year you come back. It sounds like you're due in March, so you would have already worked most of that performance year. Do a great job, then enjoy a nice mat leave, and come back in the fall and you can take it easy the rest of your performance year knowing you're opting out of CRT. Helps so much to get back adjusted to working and being a mom.
S&1- what's the part time option? This is fantastic information btw, so thank you all.

You can chose to opt out and get the previous year rating. Best of luck
It would be great if you can skip CRT the year after you come back from maternity. Check with PwC Help on which year you are eligible to skip. For me, I had to skip the pregnancy year and got laid off in the CRT after coming back because of low utilization
S1 - low utilization because ?
Came back when business was slow and tried to be local for first few months after maternity leave
Why don't you ask in the s& bowl? Anyway, I hope the policy is good because our firm is wayyyy too unbalanced manager level and above.
S&1 that's what I'm worried about. I'm due just about a month before CRT so wondering if I should opt in this year and opt out next year. Manager level is very volatile right now.
Speaking from experience :)
I don't even think you would be eligible to skip this year. I THINK if your leave spans two performance years, you opt out the year that the majority of your leave is in.
Agree with P1. It is difficult to follow but don't stress about the job. Enjoy your pregnancy and maternity leave
If it is getting really stressful after coming back, you can take the part time option
Thanks P1! I'm just concerned about the up-out situation. I'd be expected to go up next year or at most the year after so that complicates this further. That being said, I'm trying to stress less about it.
