Landed an interview with AWS for an Engagement manager role that I thought was remote but after talking to the recruiter it's literally consulting and I would have to travel to the client site. Should I withdraw my application or still go forward with the interview to get the practice in???

Go forward with interview!

I withdrew for the same position 2 weeks ago, didn’t want to have a reject in the records (in case I didn’t crack it) for a position I didn’t want in the first place

like

Yea I've been thinking about that too. I'm happy to know I'm not the only one who went through this lol

Do you know if they’re currently traveling?

Currently not traveling and is very much dependent on the client you are working with and you do have a choice on whether to work with a particular client or not

AWS should have a number of roles that aren't part of their PSO group. Just look around and propose a different one to recruiter

That's a great idea, I'll do that. Thanks!

I’m assuming the card alone will not make you eligible for upgrades, does the united club card do this? The explorer card is pretty cheap annually, but is this even worth it?

So most people are WFH for the next few months probably. Does anyone feel like they’re learning the same amount as a junior if things were normal (more hands on, direct interaction, normal production, etc)? Would you consider the 6-12 months of working from home as proper experience to push you to mid level? I want to advance to mid-level (🤑) but also genuinely am concerned that maybe I’m not learning the ins and outs that I normally would as a junior right now.
