Its year end right now and during this time they have to just meet their hiring targets. They had a huge referral drive recently so expect your candidature moving forward slower than usual.

Keep looking buddy. You never know at what stage they can reject you + having multiple offers is always good.

Currently interviewing at JPMorgan in their CIB division for a associate operations role. Have met with 5 people for two different teams and another person for another team, all of which I believe are 3 total open positions for 3 different teams. Any insight on the interview process or how long it takes or any sort of idea to give me on what I could look for that might help me believe I might get an offer? Checked my online application again recently and still says “In Consideration”

I have been an adjuster for almost 5 years, although I have loved almost all of my time adjusting and find it fun, in a sense, I am so ready to take my skills into underwriting. Does anyone have any tips for transitioning from adjusting to underwriting? I know this will sound cliche but I find myself to be very passionate about insurance and I do well when interviewed, but it is difficult to get a response for underwriting applications because they all “require” underwriting experience.

Any interview tips for Project Manager roles in software development? I was moved to this role about 2 years ago and soon looking to jump to another company, but unsure of what to focus on talking about. I’ve tested the waters and the feedback from one interviewer who was generous enough to provide it was that I made myself sound like a technologist rather than a PM because I was too focused on the product and it’s details instead of the project management details.

Getting approached about operations manager roles at a number of micro mobility companies (think: Lime, Bird). Roles involve managing 20-50 people to move and maintain vehicles as well as improve strategy for increasing ridership / revenue. They also want someone who can handle local regulatory requirements and use data to expand ridership. Any thoughts on whether this would be a worthwhile move to progress a career in ops or a dead end?

I’m overwhelmed. I’m drowning in work and despite working insane hours since July, I can’t seem to get in top of it. Meanwhile the Partner I work for is out playing sports in the middle of the day and taking a bunch of half days here and there expecting me to handle everything. I’m a 3 year associate and don’t feel like I can ask him to share the load. But frankly, I need some help and I can’t handle all this work on my own. What should I do?

Hello everyone, Nice to meet you all. It seems like a great platforms to talk lot of unsaid rules of corporate world. There is one think I was always wondering. While someone is leaving a company to other, why is it that it should be in such a secretive way. Why should we inform our colleagues officially on the last day of working? Won't it be good to inform in a week advance and leave with a proper goodbye from everyone? Or why shouldn't we inform on the day our resignation is accepted?

Have seen comp for NACR (restructuring) listed at around 150-200 for analysts, 200-275 for associates, and one mention of senior associates at 375k. Supposedly NACR gets crushed in terms of hours. But i've also read that targets are around 2000 hours per year? Something doesn't add up.....e.g. Associate $550/hr * 25% cap rate * 2000 billable hrs = $275k.......but 2000 hours is slightly over 40 hours a week (including 4 weeks vacay), not the 80 hr/week. So is there a ton of time on vacation?
