Last interview with Capital One was on Thursday last week and I haven’t heard anything back. How long should I wait before following up with the recruiter?

When you guys fill out a job application do you guys submit cover letters to these jobs or no? I know it’s optional I’m just curious on what will make the difference and if I should or should not ?

Any one make a move from fund admin after big 4 assurance and then was able to make a pivot to a PE fund accounting team? I am considering moving to a fund admin now. Have 9+ years of big four experience. Worried that I can get stuck in fund admin. But I have interviewed at several big name pe shops and make a few rounds on interviews but then get the same feedback that they are worried about my lack of operational experience.

I started casually exploring a switch brand or tech side from an agency role back in the spring and applied for five jobs on a whim. I was contacted and interviewed for all five, and a finalist for one. I decided to get serious about making a move. I’ve since applied for 50+ roles and not been so much as contacted for a single one. Yes, they are relevant and I’m not doing anything differently. Has the market heated up that much more or is it me?? I’m starting to get kind of down about it.

Hey! I’m interviewing at Facebook right now and just had my execution interview. The recruiter emailed me saying I have to do another execution interview before they didn’t get “enough signal” the first time. What does that mean? I’ve worked as a PM at Microsoft for several years but not sure what Facebook is specifically looking for in these interviews. Can anyone help share their experience?

This is a mini rant- 3 companies so far have given me glowing interview & resume feedback. I’ve been told I am the ideal candidate and I have “a tremendous edge over other candidates” But then, they turn around to try and lowball me and when I gently push back I get the “Unfortunately, we are going in another direction” email. I’m applying for software sales roles, shouldn’t you want me to push back on a shitty lowball offer? I guess the answer is yes - unless you’re a black woman

Hi All! I recently completed a loop for an L6 amazon role. They ultimately decided they want me for Amazon, but at an L5 role. I just completed an additional interview for a different role and the recruiter said they do not want to move forward with me. I’m now being scheduled for an interview for a different role now. Lawyers that love practicing family law, what do you like about it? Lots of lawyers say they will never practice family law (or will never again), but I know people that do love practicing it. I have (happily, for a while) been a public defender for 8 years and am thinking about leaving for another type of law. Family law seems like a possibility, but I don’t want to hate what I do.
