Last min requests for proactive decks to show the client ‘we’re doing stuff’ that have to be worked on over the weekend only to be not used the following week are really getting to me. It’s a wonderful way to let employees know you don’t care about them while having mandatory meetings so the company can tell employees how much the agency cares about them.

Any way you can push back (or have your manager help push back)?

The whole idea of being proactive is to avoid weekend surprises like this.

Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. Got asked today best way to gather our own (agency's) 1st party data. My first thought is develop our own pixel to capture user data (ip, email, device ID) and store that in a database, then use it later for targeting through a LiveRamp or similar. No idea if this is right or there's a better way or where I'd start my research. Anyone want to point me in some sort of direction?
