Last six weeks at work since I didn't get the H1B visa and moving in August. On the bench.. how should I use my time

Found a great role at a company I actually like and the recruiter was very excited for me to interview because I was a great fit. They turned me down because of H1B since they need someone to fill the role quickly. I’m so disappointed and sad. 😔😭

H1b peeps, Stephen Miller, the author of the immigration "ban" is now working on an EO on work visas.

My parents came to USA on Dec 2019 ( visitor visa) and owing to covid , I applied for visa extension till Nov 2020. Given the Covid situation , I would like to have them with me . Am I permitted to apply for 2nd extension ? Or visitor visa is for a maximum tenure of 1 year? Can someone please suggest. Thank you

I’m posting on behalf of a friend, a Mex citizen. He’s in the US working with a TN visa which ties him to that specific company but he’s having a hard go at it. He’d like to stay in the US but look elsewhere for employment (business consulting, marketing, comms in English or Spanish etc.). He is well educated and has about 5-6 years experience in comms. Has anyone heard of agencies / companies offering sponsorship right now? (Hes willing you pay the fees / complete the paperwork)

I just received the I-140 receipt with my current company. I already have an approved I 140 with the previous company. The new I 140 receipt doesn't have my original priority date. The immigration specialists from my current company said I-140 receipt has the current date as priority. The I-140 approval notice will have the original priority date.
