Whoa. The “general response” was that these places are helpful? As far as I’ve seen on FB, most are disgusted with Creative Circle and maybe a fringe of us would say they’re beneficial.
Yeah, there were responses from a Marketing Director who said they are a quick and reliable way to “fill seats”. Someone else posted something about the longstanding relationships between the staffing companies and the ad agencies.
A couple of people chimed in with comments like, “what’s so bad about these staffing companies?” “CC got me a freelance gig when I was between staff jobs”.
So I figured I’d pass along this opportunity along to others who aren’t disgusted and may be interested.

LOL good luck with that rate!
$55/hr!? Should have added “creative director with zero years experience “ to the job description.
Recently told a FAANG contract could offer $77/ho and I told the recruiter no, that’s quite low (as I was annoyed enough to message back). Recruiter (from one of these agencies) proceeds to angrily message about how that was the max and it’s a pandemic and we should be grateful...That’s an eye roll from me
$55/hr at the top of the range?
Wrong.

That's a hard no.

Then if you actually manage to negotiate up, they’ll charge the client an insane amount and they’ll resent you for it and tightly monitor your time.
They take about 35% off the top. But they can get you steady work. I got a gig for $65/hour - 40 hours a week that lasted 1.5 years. So it adds up. But if you have a contact and can go direct you will earn more per hour. That’s as a writer though. That is way too low for CD.
Hahahaha
Microsoft just reached out to me via a third-party recruiter offering $30-40/hr on W2.
my reply: is this a joke? 🙃
Seriously.... 24 Seven offering $25 an hour for print project managers with FIVE years of experience to work on Gap. Robbery.
