Last year I lost close to 50lbs and I’m now lower than I weighed pre-kids! I started weightlifting recently and the scale is creeping up again and freaking me out. Can someone reassure me that this is fine? Haven’t changed my eating at all.

My advice-ditch the scale, forever. Numbers on a scale don’t mean much. Best way to measure your health is actual body measurements/BMI. Number on a scale could mean so many different things

Cleaned up my diet… high protein/veggies low crap.

I went from 97lbs to 108 lifting and all my bottoms still fit. My back and arms are bigger because of muscle, so my blazer size increased.

Strength and health is sexy. Skinny and focused on scale weight, but out of shape…is not.

You should actually change your eating, you should be feeding your body a bit more protein so you don’t lose the muscle fibers you build.

Remember , strength training, specifically muscle mass is critical for your health, not just looks. Google to understand further how it can prevent all kinds of illnesses.

Deloitte Worst Interview Experience.

1. Interviewer late by 45 mins, and unapologetic about it.
2. HRs took a week’s time to arrange my interview, just to know it’s a case of profile mismatch.
3. They just picked a keyword from my profile and didn’t even bother to have a look at exact profile.

After all this they still have the audacity to tell that we don’t compare ourselves with others due to our brand value. Time to reconsider your mythical facts.

I know these are old news but I’m always late to the game. I bought a weighted blanket for my partner who is a very restless, toss ‘n turn, type sleeper with anxiety/over-active mind at bedtime compounding the problem. *And it’s helping! *

I’m not sure what’s psychological vs physiological or both about it, but they are sleeping much more soundly. So pleased about this as it’s been a struggle getting a solid, restful night sleep.

Just sharing in case helpful for someone else.

Honest question: I’m training for my first marathon. Does it really matter where I get my calories from? I am burning between 1,000-2,000 calories a day training and my body seems to be hanging in there ok. Does it truly matter if I’m eating ribeye vs lean chicken? I feel like getting to 3,000-4,000 calories a day in a healthy fashion is really really hard. Just from a volume standpoint.

Anyone familiar with PT, or previously coming off of shoulder and/or calf muscle injuries? Looking for some good strengthening exercises. My shoulders have been bad for the last few years (played D1 tennis). Both are bad though, sometimes on both sides the shoulder randomly pops out of place and there’s a tearing sound periodically Have a full ROM. for my calf, I ruptured my plantaris tendon and tore some muscle 8 months ago. I’ve done dry January and a lot of weight melted off. I was already shooting to keep it going through to March. For super lean people (borderline Instagram models), do you still drink alcohol after your 20s? I remember a male stripper in Vegas told me he only drank a shot of vodka once a year 😂 and that was the extent of his drinking, but he looked great.

Curious if this happens to anyone else - I workout regularly (mix of cardio and strength training) and eat healthy 90% of times. I make sure to eat veggies and protein in almost every meal, alongside some carbs. In general, I’m a big foodie and do love food. But I am CONSTANTLY hungry.
