Argentina - Buenos Aires and Mendoza if you guys are wine people.

Thanks! I think we will end up doing Argentina or Chile

Take a week-long land-based yacht trip around the Galápagos! Especially if you like nature and animals. Absolutely unusual and pretty romantic, and very comfortable overall. DM for boat rec if interested

There are two types of trips in the Galápagos - one is a liveaboard, where you live on a boat and SCUBA dive every single day. It’s mostly underwater exploration.

The other one is the land-based trip, you still live on the boat, but you sail and explore the different islands on land (above water).

If you can delay it a week, I was in Bavaria first week of December and went to a couple Christmas markets which were SO much fun! It definitely started snowing while I was there but wasn’t bad at all. Not even 2 inches that year when I went.

What are your favorite international destinations for traveling with kids? We are getting the travel bug, but trying to figure out something realistic with a 10-month old (likely will be closer to ~1.5 years when go this fall / winter). We're in the mid-west, so Europe, South America, Asia are all options, but have their own trade-offs (flight time, time zones, ease of logistics, safety/security, etc.).
