Last week team dynamics took a turn for the worst (even tho in each retro the team always commend each other, you would think team work is great). Team members get agitated with each other for being slow. Team members coming across rude and brash (the same ones are difficult to get hold to offer support, time is money is what someone said💰, the craziest was the client accidently sharing her whatsapp screen, commenting on people's feedback to what she was presenting OMG 😲 How was your week?

Do y’all follow up with your boss if you submit something and they catch a mistake, and CC you on the email to correct it? Torn between acknowledging the correction and not sending pointless “sorry I missed that, thank you for pointing out why xyz should be this way”

What do you do when a store manager let's a cashier.walk all over the assistant manager? Dm isn't any help. I'm at my wits end! Store manager sticks up for cashier every single time. I've offered to give that cashier my keys . I'm so done with trying to do right, only to have manager make up excuses.

I'm in a weird situation. Been for a company for over 2years. The executive team is very much a boy's club. There are a few women in management roles but zero ethnicity diversity there. I raised my concern to HR in feb. And they are just now deciding to do something about it. They want me (white female) to put together a diversity committee. Any suggestions on how to go about it? How to attract volunteers to the committee? I want to make sure I get the right people involved in this, to push for changes.

The perfectionist post made me think this is a good place to ask: how do you deal with a manager or team lead who's micromanaging or refusing to delegate? I like my team lead but everything down to the smallest detail has to be checked and rechecked by him and it slows down EVERYONE else. Our team is doing really good work, it's just taking longer than it should and it's frustrating to feel like he doesn't trust our skills at all.

Hi! First off, I know none of this constitutes legal advice, etc., but I’d like some outside perspectives and advice here.

My wife found out she makes ~25% less that her male co-worker did when he was her level of seniority, and they have the same job responsibilities and the exact same credentials (same undergrad, masters program, etc.); he now makes 50% more than she does, but has 3 more years of WE, so to me that’s not as applicable.

Insight into Jones Day L&E practice?

Looking for advice on breaking into the L&E litigation field. I’m a rising third-year general litigation associate at a v10 law firm in NYC where I’ve gotten to work on a couple of L&E cases. My job search for L&E roles has been a bit of an uphill battle, because most of the roles require significant L&E experience. Would it be a bad idea to take a non-partner track role in an AmLaw100 firm’s L&E group in order to break into the field? What kinds of jobs would I be marketable for afterwards?

Anyone working as an employment defense attorney in Kansas City and willing to share your experience with me? I'm thinking about making the switch from plaintiff to defense and trying to decide if I want to, and if I do, what firm to go to.
