Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe I’m not thinking about. Also along those lines, if anybody here works for figma I would love the chance to connect

It is a really weak answer. Especially in light of the increased awareness of workplace inequalities, male violence against women, the pink tax, the glass ceiling etc.
Even if she’s never had anything bad to happen to her and, I pray that she hasn’t, she could’ve at least said that she sees her self as paving the way for other women.
I read her comments as being a woman doesn’t hold her back. At her level, she’s equal to anyone else and doesn’t need to factor in her gender in her role. To me that’s uplifting as hell.
I mean if this is her reality, why would she share something else? Of course everyone has different experiences but for many their goal is to be seen as a competent leader first and anything else second. If this is how she perceives herself then there’s nothing wrong with her expressing that.

It was an interview for a women’s history month though. Like they specifically chose her to interview as a female leader. She doesn’t need to make up a false narrative and could have used her platform to uplift others. Instead she furthered... the status quo. Doesn’t really sound like much of a leader to me.
Sometimes it's internalized misogyny which is disappointing as a younger woman, but you have to acknowledge to get where she is, probably had to endure a lot and is going through her own healing timeline.

BS answer that completely undermines her credibility TBH. Wouldn’t waste my time looking up to a leader with nothing better to say.

I feel like this is the only answer women who have achieved a certain level of success give. They’re playing by the “man’s” rules

I agree with D1, and I hear her answer differently than some of you. It sounds like she didn’t let being a woman hold her back nor did she think of herself differently. And I agree with that viewpoint.

VP1 condemnation is a strong term and not sure how you picked that up from my post.

That could very well just be her reality, being a senior executive and even more likely if she’s white. I don’t blame her for saying what she truly feels. They could’ve picked a more insightful question to give her the opportunity to be inclusive of diverse experiences.
Not an inspiring answer... they didn’t get sample answers from people and pick someone to speak from that?
