Leadership in my practice wants to get more people to come to our meetings and networking events in our office to foster a sense of community. What are some effective strategies that you’ve seen?

I’ve found that consultants don’t want to spend their limited free time with their bosses at after hours networking events.

Definitely free alcohol but at the end of the day people just want to leave work and go home. Folks have lives. You can only offer the space for networking. Not much you can do to get people to come

Geographically it's a challenge because Tyson's is off to the side of the greater DC city, and it's in the middle of a huge traffic jam. As a traveler, I go out of my way to avoid the office because it's frankly a pain to get in and out. If you located some events in the DC office it might be easier to convince people to come in.
