You’re lucky to stay employed
Definitely lucky! Just sharing thoughts about the financial situation of the company. If they say it’s really that bad, shouldn’t they be transparent to everyone and have everyone help to keep their jobs?
When I had around a 10 person consulting company there was no way I could float payroll if my biggest client halted the contract. I would have had to start laying off. I lived in fear of that every SOW renewal. I sold it before losing all my health
Damn you can’t make a post like this with your title! Dime the company out baby!!
And no, you aren’t wrong to be annoyed.
Lol it’s frustrating bc I was getting ready to leave and then my offer at the new firm has a temp freeze on it. #COVID-19
A company that operates with any sliver of integrity should cut compensation evenly amongst all employees. Only difference should be the percentage between senior management (c-suite / exec team) and regular employees. Just my .02.
Cont. ^ bit of context, this company only has like 40 people and always favors the SOC. Also the SOC has received raises this year, and some other employees are still missing half their 2018 bonus (not even getting to the 2019 bonus 🙄)
I thought temporary salary reductions violated the FLSA.
Thanks for the insights, M1
