I hate EVs, this trend sucks.
Going to Frankfurt Auto Show. Anyone else?

To make the price more palatable, go to a GMC dealership and price a crew cab 4wd diesel truck with the top tier trim package. The 90k sticker on that will make the 4Runner look practical.
A pre-owned lexus gx460 will be cheaper than a new 4 runner, just as capable off road and you get a/c seats. That's what I would look at.
Trucks comparable to 4runner: wrangler. Nothing else at that price point
Similar size suv: lexus rx, toyota highlander, honda pilot/passport, bmw x5/Audi q5-base models, Tesla Y but it's smaller
For that price range, Q5
NEVER buy anything made by VW group. Audi are VWs with a different badge. Also look at the maintenance on any of their cars. It’s eye watering. You could write off the depreciation on a Merc or BMW for the additional amount you will lose on an Audi.
I totally agree that 50k is reasonable for the 4Runner. Especially with the retention of value. Just curious of what others consider when shopping in that price range.
4Runners also will last 300k-400k miles with minimal, cheap maintenance
Camry and 4Runner are very different. Maybe give thought to what you really need and go for a few test drives to help narrow it down

My likes: Mach E, Stelvio, Bronco
Two of those three cars wouldn’t even be available by December....
The 4Runner TRD models are pretty sick if you’re looking for adventure. If you want something a bit more luxurious I’d look elsewhere. RX is on the second half of its cycle so you might be able to get a good deal. X5 is probably the priciest option and unless you need the space I’d advise that you go with a Q5 or X3 instead.
Do you need body on frame? Because the RX is way more comfortable than the GX , also the gx has a v8 which is bullet proof but gas guzzler
X3 is a pretty decent option if it’s an SUV that you want .. Patrick BMW in Schaumburg are very aggressive with pricing and have a bunch of loaners at throwaway prices. So maybe you can get a sweet deal on the X5 as well. But if not the Germans, then the new GV80 from genesis is a killer car.. doubt you will be able to get discounts though its worth a try.
I got a Tacoma in Feb MSRP 52.5k with a lift, upgraded rims, mid tires, leather ( Toyota pleather 😂) and everything. Negotiated hard and got them down to 39k with 0% financing.
What lift does it have? IMO dealer lifts are always terrible - is it a body lift or suspension lift?
