My experience with start ups, and it might differ of course, is that they are composed by people that think they knew it all and left the agency world, and quickly realize they dont know how to lead or do everything else that they werent doing before at the agency life... so process is chaos disguised as creative freedom. They let you come up with big ideas and eventually nothing comes to fruition and budget runs out

Have some CD friends who did this exactly. They work from home, have gotten a lot of time with family that they haven’t before. They work with a lot of people who have big ideas but little structure. Tbh I think the nature of the startup and how successful it will be/types of people who are running it is huge in the decision factor here. That’s all the info I got! Congrats on the opportunity

If you're turning to strangers on an app for life changing career advice, I'd suggest that you have deeper and more urgent problems as to whether or not to join a start up

Strangers yes, but also people who work in my Industry may have faced this exact decision. It's not that crazy to ask for advice here.

Make sure you have total creative control or at least the last word. Get that in writing And I would be a part of the budgeting
