Can I do backdoor Roth IRAs in the future? New company is in process of setting up 401k so not set up yet
You can. And you can even if you roll over your old 401k to an IRA if you want but you’ll owe prorata taxes every time you convert from your traditional IRA to a Roth. You can either leave your 401k at your old employer or roll it in to your new plan if you want to avoid the prorata taxes.
