Leaving my firm due lack of management, and company instability. I have almost 1 YOE of consulting (1yr prior = 2) so am I still looking for an entry level position or positions with at least 2 YOE?

You could maybe make a senior role somewhere. Be skeptical of Guidehouse and their “experienced associate” role- that role is a trap and it will be 3 years til you get promoted to Senior from there.

Consultant—>Senior Consultant—>Managing Consultant—>Associate Director (this is brand new, previous titles were basic remapping)—>Director—>Partner There’s been a lot of changes with the acquisition of Navigant, but otherwise have had pretty good leadership and opportunities.

Just got a lateral hire offer for a Sr Associate role with BCG. Contract states that I can go for Consultant promo in 12 months. I'm interpreting this as, if I don't make the promo threshold in 12 months, I'd be counseled out. Is this a reasonable assumption? Or would I get a few more months of time to work on feedback? I'm nervous - should I be? :(

Are there any attorney roles that are collaborative? I’m a transactional associate and there are aspects of my job that I really enjoy, but I can’t stand how solitary it is. (I don’t consider client conference calls collaborative haha) Long-term, I need to be in a role that requires more team work/collaboration/social interaction...but the longer I work as an attorney the more I feel like I’ll need to leave legal practice to get that. I’m wondering if there’s a legal option I haven’t considered

I’m 4 rounds into the interview process for an Assistant Controller position in SoCal. For the next round, I’ll be meeting with the Controller, Accounting Manager, and 5 other junior accounting staff. I’ll have 30 minutes to explain a month-end close task (of my choice) to the accounting team. Also, I’ll have to analyze a random reconciliation and explain improvements that can be made. I’m just a 2nd year manager, so I’m getting so nervous, and any insight or tips would be appreciated!

Hey KPMG or those who have recently applied for an EA position w KPMG : where is the link for the open EA role on their site? I only saw one that specifically said in DC for Audit...is there another area on that site that I am missing? I’m moving out of my home state/city and am looking for new opportunities since EY will be requiring EAs to return to the office an estimated 2-3 days a week. If anyone knows of other firms hiring please let me know that, too! THANK YOU!!

Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!

I have the opportunity to move to a small boutique data science and data engineering consulting firm that would pay better with less hours. However, would it stunt my growth without a big 4 tag? It has more opportunities for technical growth and certifications but will push me into a more specialized role. I interviewed for a position remotely 3 weeks ago with the 3 partners of an agency at the same time, and it went well. The CFO then took 30 minutes after the initial hour to talk more and she asked that I reach out to her for more questions as well as to let her know when I have relocated as I told them that I am about to move. After 3 weeks, I sent a follow-up note to the HR contact and no response all last week. Shall I try contacting the CFO directly since she did ask that I do? Thoughts?

Have been pinged for a possible role as Director of Operations at a promising looking startup with a 50%% pay increase & equity. It looks like an amazing opportunity.. but my husband and I have just started trying for our first kid, and I'm not sure about leaving the stability and benefits of Big 4, even though I feel like I have run out of career growth here. Has anyone changed jobs at a similar point, or worked at a startup as a new mom, that might be able to share perspective or opinions?

Thoughts on Dentsu Aegis? I've received an offer for a role (promotion) and thinking about whether it is a sound move - especially in this environment. They went through furloughs and pay cuts in April due to COVID. I'd be making the move from EY which is a great company to work with - but there is such a long line up to get a promotion, and for roles I've interviewed for internally I get the good ole - you were awesome and it was rly close, but someone was just a better fit.
