I assume you mean gigs writing in English or also Spanish? Where you headed to? Sounds like you're gonna have a great time OP. Enjoy it!!

Would love to hear how it goes. Looking to do the same next year. I’m trying to establish some remote relations now to develop some relationships.

I have some small relationships I have cultivated over the year and they asked me for consistent but small.work so I can hang out down here for a bit but not forever coupled with my savings. Not writing in Spanish, right now I'm in Argentina although I got a gig from a guy I shared a cab with from the airport who.is an ex pro golfer. The work itself isn't all that interesting but I'm doing it from wherever so...at this point I'll take anything that's money haha. Looking at remote.com.and freelance.com

I started last October as a junior (moved over after 3 years in B4 accounting). Have worked nearly every day since then except for the occasional Sunday when I decided to blow off work I probably should have been doing. I desperately need a vacation, but have no clue what that even looks like with Covid, WFH, and Biglaw life in general. It also feels super hard to take a break because it seems like no one in my group ever does. Not sure whether I'm posting to gripe or seeking advice...

How much of the current WFH measures would stick permanently in our working culture? With almost a full year of remote working, the sentiment seems to have shifted to waiting til the day we can work in the office again. Will clients reimburse travel as much as they did before? Will companies keep the same amount of office space or transition to a leaner and more just-in-time approach?

So my roommate has been staying elsewhere since we began quarantining and has been returning intermittently. Roommate has been paying half the electricity bill, which I have felt weird even charging for, but my friends have insisted that it is still both our responsibilities. Given WFH is permanent as of now, the electricity has been a bit higher with me home for the 10 hours I’d normally be gone. And with summer approaching, AC is going to double that cost. Do I still keep charging half? AITA?

Confession - I don't want to go back to office. I'm happy working from home and find no solid reason in stepping back. I hope the flexi work culture allows permanent WFH - I don't have a "good enough" reason, but I don't want to go (isn't this good enough?) It's been 1.5 years now, too comfortable to step out from my PJs to jeans.

My LO has an infection with high fever and my husband and I have been WFH all week to take care of her. Even though the infection is not contagious, it’s instructed by our pediatrician that she cannot go back to daycare until she’s fever free without any medication for 24h. My husband has been antsy to go back to work and has informed me that he absolutely has to go back tomorrow no matter what and we should just send her back to daycare with a dose of Motrin in the morning.

What cities in the US can someone get a lot of nature/green space but also some of the big city feel? My job just went fully remote and I’m debating on leaving my home town(Tampa). I’ve been told that I’m going to be teaching “in person” on Dec 2. We have been Remote since March 13th. Just the “high needs SPED and ELL”will be in class. I have 2 kids out of my 6-sub-separate developmentally delayed students and the ELL teacher will have 3 out of her 14. We will both be in separate classrooms and the adults will change-not the kids- we share one student. I was told if we are at least 8 ft apart the students can take off their masks... anyone else hear this?
