Any recruiter recommendations for LA / SoCal?
I got an offer from infosys. In the onboarding app, do we need to fill Bank details before joining? The reason why I am asking is because they are asking for icici acc only & I don't have that. Any one who recently joined infosys kindly help. Infosys
I don't want to open account before joining.

I think you should just make interviewing the priority if you're leaving anyway.
It'll look bad. "PA wasn't for me" when you left without something lined up will translate into "I couldn't handle it, and it was so bad, and I was so desperate to leave I didn't care I had nothing lined up"
Which makes sense. I really don't get how people ever find time to interview.
Everyone needs to take a chill pill. You can quit without something lined up. For instance, I'm moving across the country so can't make interviewing a priority since I can't keep flying out to the other coast for interviews during my busy season. I'm working with recruiting firms and they say that's absolutely reasonable, and if a firm has an issue, you don't want to work with them anyway. If they're from the Big 4, they'll especially understand it's very hard to interview while keeping up with work. You are not better saying you were laid off - then you're labeling yourself as a poor performer, since only the lowest rated employees are laid off.
You'd be better off saying you got laid off.
@staff auditor1 when you're not out of town have appointments or other things going on,Take a long lunch etc. if you're just afraid of people being mad I wouldn't, since you've got one foot out the door anyway.
I fully intend on leaving PA, because I don't like it... So I get it. But leaving at the right time with the right plan is far more important than just leaving.
If you leave every time you decide you're not happy with your job, you're far more likely to not find a job you actually like and end up in a job you hate again. Because your full interest was in leaving, the destination wasn't important at the time. If instead you make the destination the priority and wait for the right time once you've got an opportunity that you actually truly want, then you're far more likely to actually be happy 6 months later.
Totally see where you're coming from on that, and I agree with the sentiment. I just think labeling someone a wimp is harsh. What if they're battling depression? What if they need to take care of family? Want to travel the world? Make a career change? Too many unknowns to generalize
Right but how do you do that? If you are assigned on a client for 4 weeks and they are out of town or something how can you 'prioritize' interviewing?
Say you needed some time off to go on a vacation and be with your family. And why do you have to mention that?
You really shouldn't leave without anything lined up unless you're really good at interviewing/selling yourself etc. you're at a disadvantage when you don't have an existing income. If you can perhaps request PTO spread out throughout the upcoming months. If you've had enough time to look and have interview invitations but literally just can't make it to interviews then just stop caring as much about work and just leave to interview. Call in sick, come in late, etc.
Bro, that situation is totally different... You're going from PA to PA across country. OP is leaving for industry, likely in same general area. So not even close to the same situation... Poor performer is still a better label than not being able to cope to the extent you're so desperate to leave you'd leave with 0 plans.
Lol no it isn't. Deciding something is a poor fit for you isn't wimping out. Don't contribute to the culture that shames people who feel that PA isn't right for them or their loved ones.
Ya, for sure. I do agree. Sometimes I like being an asshole too much.
Hahaha it's all our pent up rage in PA 😂
I did this as well and went with the "this wasn't for me story". Worked well. Got a FEW great offers and I love my job now. If i had still been working, i wouldn't have been able to interview with SO many companies. Suggestion: if you do this, use at least 10 recruiters and make it a full time job.
Poor performer is better than "can't even"
Btw EY 1 I'm going into industry, not PA. And if you have a nest egg to support yourself, who cares? It's not worth being absolutely miserable.
Nothing against people where PA isn't right for them... If you feel shame for leaving, then that's on you. You're only a wimp if you leave with no plan...
Lol😂
