Left a perfectly good job at Infosys to do Masters but now a month away from having to leave and second guessing my decision to go. Don’t know If I should do a masters in my current mental state (extremely stressed), not sure about the course, not sure if I will get a job if I stay (have been applying to test engineer roles for 2 weeks but haven’t heard back).
Should I stay and risk not having a job for the unforeseen future to re-evaluate my life or should I take the plunge and leave

Thank you so much :)
Yes I’m in Manual Testing.
I have experience in writing test cases for both manual testing and automation testing scenarios, API Testing, manual testing for client mobile application and website.
I have used IBM Sterling Order Management Software, qTest Manager, IBM Sterling API Tester, POSTMAN, JIRA for my day-to-day activities.

Are you thinking of continuing to be a test engineer or want to become development eng. If you want to change your line it's best to go ahead.

like

I would like to to try out the development side but that would mean taking some time off to upskill which would be difficult without a backup plan. I think I would feel more at ease If i secured a position with my current skillset then upskill on the job so as to keep my resume gap to a minimum

Hi,
You have already left your job at infosys. I would suggest not to second guess your decision because I believe you took it to uplift yourself by completing masters.
In your masters you will have ample of time to learn new things and it will help you decide which direction you need to move further.

Firstly, ask yourself why did you choose to study masters . If it is for job prospect, then these days it isnt as important as it used to be earlier. If you chose it because you wanted a PG degree on your resume for your own sake, stick to your decision
Are you going for tech masters or business masters ? If it is B school and if it is reputed, stick your decision.

No, it’s a new course

On June 21, I had an interview with two managers to become an HR Coordinator. Everything went smoothly, and I got good feedback, so I moved on to the management round of interviews. The recruiter initially stated that I would go through two rounds; however, between June 22-June 23, there were really five rounds, and I am still awaiting the scheduling of one more interview, even though it is now July. I'm becoming frustrated at this point. I’m still actively interviewing with other companies.

Is it a good idea to tell your manager intentions of leaving?

Recently had my review and it didn’t go how I expected. No raise, no promotion. I expressed disappointment but took the criticism I was given to reach my goal in 6 months or a year.

However, there are a number of issues that bother me enough where I want to move on.

The team I am on is small and I know that when I leave, they’ll have a lot on their hands. I only have a couple of interviews scheduled and nothing is solid yet.
