Have you tried speaking to a therapist and digging into your feelings? This sounds heavy and like there are a few things going on.
I suspect as much. But I’ve never been consistent with it, which I now understand to be an ADHD trait too.. Gonna give it another shot
Toxic jobs are draining! Give yourself time to adjust to the new environment and to regain strength and confidence. Try to take walks on your lunch break, bundle if it’s getting chilly and listen to favorite podcast or audio book. Try yoga or meditation at home. You’ll bounce back!
Thanks defs gonna try these!!
I would take a vacation as soon as you feel
You can. Taking a break really helped me. I also worked on making my work day routine enjoyable. I am remote, so I go for a quick walk in the morning, have my coffee, light a candle, I eat my lunch while I am working so that I can take my entire hour lunch doing something I enjoy. I usually walk or watch a show, read, etc. I know this isn’t possible for everyone but making my routine more enjoyable really helped me reset. I tried to turn my previous feelings of “omg I dread this awful job” into “how can I make my workspace peaceful” in my new job. Hope that makes sense. I also listen to soothing sounds while I am working. That really helps!
Defs trying these too, thanks! How do you stay consistent with all of these things, and not get sucked into a ball of stress with an overwhelming to do list? Not striving for perfection but need to make the habits stick.
