Left B4 3.5 yrs ago for a small boutique. TC about $200k right now in the strategy space, aerospace/defense, govcon, natl sec. industry. 8 years of exp. I feel I’m hitting a ceiling where I am now…firm just isnt growing. Not sure where to look next to increase comp and move higher up the food chain. Anyone deal with similar? General advice? TIA

I’m a 3rd year Associate at a fairly large injury firm. In my 2nd year my individual fees were $550k, this year I’ll eclipse $800k and next year I have $1.5mm or more lined up. (That’s just cases I signed/closed myself)
I’m the sole associate in the office, and also handle most of the training/marketing/networking in my office. My salary isn’t 6 figures and no performance incentive. At what point is it fair to ask/is it unrealistic or unreasonable to ask for some small performance incentive?

Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.
