Do any of the Big 4/MBBs penalise Online MBAs over in person? Want to make sure I commit to the right course, and don't shoot myself in the foot down the line.
Would pursuing the CFA be worthwhile for someone who is trying to break into the Business Valuation space after already having 10 years experience in Finance, mostly in FP&A, a Master’s in Finance and 4 years experience in Big 4? I’ve been trying to break in without any luck at the Sr. Associate level and am not sure if that would push me over the edge.
How does someone become a partner at the big 4? I mean I have friends that are executive directors and senior managers... but partners?
What was the most ridiculous / appalling / uncomfortable call you’ve had? For me recently a MD from another big 4 was *screaming* at my partner because this person disagreed with my partner on a tax position. Meanwhile my team was just trying to explain something. Oh yeah and the client was on the call and might switch auditors now 😵💫🤷♂️
Any resume tips for Big 4 employees? How much detail should one go into (clients, ratings, roles, etc)?
I have received an offer from a Big 4 in financial risk consulting, Business Analyst role and not Audit Role. Years of Experience is 8 years of which 4.5 years is after MBA. My Pre MBA experience is in IT. Post MBA is also IT but mostly on the Functional Side. Qualification is B.Tech and MBA Marketing from Tier 2, Salary offered is 19 LPA. Is this good or should I negotiate? I am considering the thumb rule of (Exp * 2) in Salary. Can you tell me what's the ideal salary for this experience ?
I am a new manager in corp tax and have no intention of becoming SM, at least not for another 5 years. What should I do? I am thinking about jumping to another big 4 around M3.
For those convicted of negligent 1 driving offence, did you have any issues going through background check when going through hiring process with big 4?
I received a callback from when I applied to one of the big 4 a while ago while disillusioned by my job. Is big 4 much better than a mid-tier for a sr? I am a jd not a cpa so I already always feel like an outcast when I get exasperated trying to balance books I was never trained to do. Will a big 4 have a better place/expectations of me as an attorney and not a Cpa. Also…pay..better?
Hi! Any Canadians here to offer perspective on current salary? I have a Masters and 2+ years of total internship experience, have been at a Big 4 firm (advisory) for about a year now. Salary is 56k + no bonus but OT. Wondering if I am super underpaid and should consider exiting esp. with no comp increase/promo this year?
Does big 4 firms like Ernst and Young have up or out policy? Generally how much time does one have before being evaluated for promotion?@
Why do big 4 make us work more than 40 hours ? How much more do they pay compared to non consulting jobs anyways 😏 I wish I started working in a non big 4. Time>money anyday
Can anyone provide salaries ranges for Big 4 managers (excluding accommodation compensation) in Doha, Riyadh, Dubai? Tech consulting
Looking to leave consulting at Deloitte after a year as I’m completely burnt out from projects, leadership (lack thereof), and lack of growth and direction. Would it be worth trying to stay within Big 4 or would it be easier to transition to T2? Would I even be looked at as an applicable candidate since I’ve only been here for a year? Ive been working in healthcare/strategy within HC/OT portfolio and would like to do the same elsewhere
What salary should a Tax Manager expect in a high COL area. Non Big 4 (firms 8-15 in revenue)
Have an offer at a boutique IB (~30 people non-NYC) after being in B4 audit and FDD over the last ~4 years. Offer is for an analyst 1 role (2 year promotion to associate) paying $80k base plus 100% bonus paid in January (but prorated for this year based on start date). Is it worth it to take a pay cut from $110k base plus ~15% bonus in my FDD role given the considerable increase in hours/workload and that it’s not a large bank or even mid tier bank?
Big 4 tax people: can shed lights on hours you work on and off busy season and how long? Been hearing its hell but BDO is headed that direction. My office is severely understaffed.
can anyone share insights onto b4 experienced hire interview process? trying to see the fastest way to relocate whether internally or by switching firms

Anyone else feel broke? Wife and I collectively make ~250k, are debt free and save to our 401k's. neither come from wealthy families. Both don't drink or eat out much. Or have expensive shopping...

Does anyone know if Bain still interviewing lateral hires at the Associate Consultant (entry level) in US offices or did they already finish hiring a large intake class earlier in the year?
On the road full-time. Thinking of moving from Chicago to Denver. Thoughts? Sick of the drinking-focused social scene.
Got an offer at a top bank. Pay is better, but flexibility and hours will suck. 2.5 years in Advisory and this new job is way sexier. I actually like my current work, but weekly travel is killer.
Sometimes consulting feels borderline fraudulent.
When you are more excited about not having to see ur manager cause they suck than eating turkey with the family this long weekend !
Anyone else think Dan Price/gravity payments is a joke? So what if your employees make 70k
I'm a KPMG associate. I got an offer as a strategic advisor at Aon for 2x my current pay. Would you take it? No idea what Aon culture is like. Any insight?
