Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.
What niche are you pursuing?

Give it some time. Once you get your bearings and start making friends you might feel differently. If not, you can always go back to NY after a year. It's still going to be there no matter how long you're away!
Moved away from NY three years ago and it’s the best thing I ever did.
DDB1 - not feeling challenged, internal processes are very unorganized, not much interaction with boss/don't have an internal mentor, creative isn't as good. Positives - not working til 4 am on a regular basis lol.
Thank you, User 1!
What are the reasons?
I’m in the opposite situation. I’m working in the suburbs of NY and there’s no room for growth at my company. I’d love to stay close and have a short commute, but it’s starting to look like nyc is my only option as there aren’t many opportunities close by
I started my career in a medium sized city and I felt the same way. I was put off by the lack of challenge and creativity until I realized that I could be the one to make the place what I wanted to be. Use your skills from the big market to push your colleagues and the work and take not prisoners. You’re in the unique position of power in the room and you can be the implement the change you want to see
