Commute is pretty important - even while we’re not technically in office required. If you have the option to not pay for rent AND have such a short commute, I would take it, that’s a no brainer.

Ah - never mind. Honestly both hour and 15 and 45 commute are pretty bad when you’re working 12-14 hour days (sometimes more). There’s flexibility to commute home at the end of the traditional work day depending on your schedule and the case timeline, but both of those are pretty tough if you ever intend on going into the office for work.

Saving a couple grand a month pales compared to putting you in position to grow in your career.

Yeah I’m 15 mins away from the office at night with no traffic, ~30 in the morning, and I would hate a longer commute

PwC Senior Partner Tim Ryan authored an article about Building Trust for the Harvard Business Review. There are some links in the article back to PwC's study. There is some interesting info in that study.

The article notes how PwC stumbled at the Oscars in 2017 and how TR took responsibility for that blunder.

I would have preferred him to address how - or if - he was taking responsibility for the mass exodus of talent at his organization. That seems more pressing than the 2017 Oscars.
