So I have been going through multiple rounds of interviews - I’m 4 weeks into the process and I have already gotten 4 rejections. Here’s what I have learnt (sharing in case it’s helpful) ..

Anyone have any thoughts on IT consulting in the Richmond area? We are considering a move there and are curious on culture and opportunities there.

Should respect be EARNED or GIVEN? 🤔 Chime in. I come from the European culture of education where teachers are highly respected - very much like in the Japanese society where teachers get the utmost respect, as high as if not even higher than doctors / surgeons. Students stand up when the teacher enters the classroom, say “hello” when seen in the hallway, etc. Teachers are (or at least are expected to be) GIVEN the respect by students. Seems in the US respect has to be EARNED.

Seems lot of regionalism going on at Salesforce Hyderabad office. I cleared my technical round for the DevOps role with flying colours, still was not selected there. Maybe a blessing in disguise, the interviewer gave a really bad impression of the culture. Such a nice company, sad it's located at a wrong location.

Is it unreasonable to ask someone from PT timezone to follow ET hours for 1 month during critical phase of the project? To be specific.. starting 9AM ET. Work day typically gets over at 6p ET or sooner sometimes, and this person makes it such a big deal and makes it sound like they are doing team a favor.
