For data science exits does it go something like this? Any industry players I'm missing? Have been in process with all and currently in process with all but one and trying to prioritize. VC (supporting investing with tech expertise) > Hedge funds > FAANG/high growth startups >> lower tier unicorns >>> MBB
What are some small firms with entrepreneurial gusto giving MBB legit competition? And I don’t mean old school traditional shops charging $1,300 per hour per resource.
Turning 30 and just feel like I’m getting dumber. I am a smart person (at least relatively) and work at MBB but lately I just feel as though I have not been as sharp as I normally am. I spent the last week drinking and going out till 3am every night (NYC) so that doesn’t help but are there any tips to regain my form and just become smarter?
From talking to students at multiple M7 schools, it seems like all of the BB/MBB/FAANG companies recruit at most if not all of the schools . So if you're planning on recruiting for one of these, is there really a major difference in career opportunities between each school? Asking because it seems like some schools are specifically known for finance vs consulting vs tech, but if the companies are all recruiting at all these schools, the differences don't seem as pronounced to me.
I am currently a SA at EY-Parthenon on the West Coast and looking to case for MBB. Comment if interested.
What’re mbb staffing models like? I heard bain was moving to more regional. This true across the board? Mck and bcg global/national/regional?
How's MBB in Malaysia?
For those who have been forced out of MBB, I’m just curious — did you end up having to take a pay cut when exiting, or did you get something that paid even more?
How do I get MBB good @ PPT? I’m a staff 2 in consulting & have only had long term projects; teams rarely used decks. I know ppt well, so the Q is more directed towards designing pretty slides.
Its MBB work really that different from the rest of the consultancies? Outside of the branding and the pay that is?
60M people need to be vaccinated. Offering them $1000 each would cost this country $60B. Realistically, you can get to half of that population — $30B. One booster shot for 250M people at 80% uptake — $200B. For $30B - $230B, we can end the pandemic in the USA. Worth it? Edited: add in $5M for an MBB to do this math and put it in a PPT for you. And $50M for a big 4 firm to implement, botch, reimplement.
Manager with specialized experience (sector specific DDs and growth strategy) looking to move to MBB. Do you recommend reaching out to a 3rd party recruiter, MBB recruiter or reaching out to partners/practice leadership?
Those who want to join FAANG: don’t you think that the upward mobility is limited? Thousands of super ambitious MBB background people with top credentials joined these firms over the last decade.
Based on your experiences working at or interacting with MBB, what notable differences are there in their culture/people, work, and work-life mix?
Okay… all kidding aside, is there anything positive about KPMG? The internet and social media makes fun of them. My leadership makes fun of them. Other big 4 friends make fun of them. MBB makes fun of them. Do they do that bad of a job + have that many shady things going on?
Is it pretty usual to go from big 4 M to MBB? Or do they not consider Big 4 Consulting as valuable experience?

CFP, asking advisors out more than five years... has it really made a difference in your career growth/AUM and how clients perceive you? I guess I’m asking, was it really worth it?
Does anyone else feel like they’re consistently having to prove themselves every day? I don’t mean usual “trying to go above and beyond at work” I mean the nagging feeling that you might get fired if you don’t accomplish every email task or chat request that may or may not be directed to you. Constantly anxious at this job.

Are there typically people reviewing every single line item of your company credit card expenditures or is it sort of like taxes where if something seems off they "audit"? I don't know if I need to worry about fudging an extra person at the table in order to stay within client meal budgets.
What to do if I suspect I’ve been given a different pto policy from my coworkers? I accrue 10 hours of pto at the end of each month of my employment. This was a very fine detail hidden until the end of my negotiation process. I’m regretting not pushing back on it. Do you know of others at your company that have different policies than you do? I’m a start up full of highly experienced people (I’m the least) so I imagine it’s more likely to happen at a smaller firm?
Just joined Deloitte recently and they staffed me to Airforce project already? I’m trying to look for other projects that are not DOD related. How do I go about looking got other roles?
Has anyone had some cosmetic procedures done during this pandemic? Are you happy with the result and have you been able to hide behind Zoom (without video on) while you recover?

Hey Everyone, I will be joining EY GDS in August 2021. There's a pay component "Advanced Statutory Bonus" of around 26k per annum. Any idea what this is? Is it truly fixed or will depend on firm's performance? Thanks!
