I see a lot of consultants leaving for FAANG. But if the grass is truly more green, what drives some folks from FAANG to move into consulting? Especially a Big 4…

Which Big 4 has the best benefits?

Hi Fishes, Need some inputs Thanks in advance. I have total 13 YoE 11 of which are in tech consulting (Non Big 4) I have an offer from EY and they have indicated base pay as 145K for senior consultant position. I feel it's low. Can you please suggest how much should be fair base compensation for this role?
Is the CVA or ABV valued by big 4 at all?
Got almost 8y exp at a B4 in consulting. Kinda bored of my work cos I feel I’m not learning new technical skills. But I’m growing more into SM role. Should I seek a lateral move or stay & climb up?
Exist opportunities from big 4 vs middle market- is big 4 really better in the long run?
Big 4 after the recent earnings announcement:
EY and PWC under scanner in UK yet again for auditing issues. Pressure on them to break up. Audit cannot go hand in hand with consulting. Tough times ahead for Big 4. They had too much rope which is now getting cut
Few weeks back it seemed like offices are about to open up but now with the 2nd wave, is any Big 4 going ahead with those plans? Asking because I'll join PwC India Mumbai in April. Would prefer to not relocate immediately if wfh is getting extended.
Coming into one of the big 4 as a PMD from the outside (agency holding co). How would you spend your first 90 days?

I may owe up to $15K in taxes for 2016. IRS charges a 3% interest rate. Do I pay off as fast as I can, or pay the monthly/quarterly minimums and put more $ into investments? Also, anyone owed b4?

I’m hoping to move to a specific city and I’ve been applying to positions for which I’ve been a good fit there, but with little luck. Do you think putting my actual out of state address is hurting me?
Anybody took a job that turned out to be wrong fit? How did you bounce back and how to handle if it comes up in interviews? I hesitate to say “I wanted to do this at the time then changed my mind / it wasn’t a good fit”
Cancelled my marriott credit card.. too many cards and opened it for the bonus. What card would you guys recommend now? Looking for one that is not overly expensive and has good bonus. I have CSR btw
How long do you wait before you hear back from a job opportunity? 2 interviews completed and they liked me a lot, they said they’d be in touch but it’s been about a week.

How to stay productive WFH. I've been used to Wfh before covid struck but it has been weeks at a stretch now and it is getting to me. Is it just me or others out there feel less productive as well?
Hot take: $1M net worth is very attainable by all the consultants on this app. Consulting is in the top 5-10% (or better) paying jobs in the US. $1M net worth would put you in the top 6-8% as a 35-45 year old in the US. While everyone starts at different points (i.e student debt) and has different life circumstances resulting in different timelines, consulting provides solid income to allow you to save, invest and build wealth, if you choose.
Folks who got into MBB after Indian MBA, how hard is it to get a shortlist during summer and final placements? What kind of profiles make it/don’t make it?
MBB manager in Life Sciences: struggling to find a good exit. VC/PE - feels like consulting toolkit not really useful, and I’m competing with analysts. Big pharma - in my country too pharmaco not hiring consultants. Startups - don’t sponsor visa. Feels stuck! Any ideas/advice?
Thoughts on REITs? Their values are still deflated compared to pre COVID levels, and interest levels are still at zero... if a REIT in question has a good balance sheet, what do you 🐟 think?
Is it worth to ask the credit card company to increase the credit limit? My current debt to credit utilization is around 25%. The goal is to lower the % and improve the credit score.
