I’m a very experienced veterinary assistant who has been doing this job for about 4 years in total however because of my skill level I would say I am more of an unlicensed technician. I’m looking for input on what I should ask for a raise. Given the minimum wage, I make about $5 over but that hasn’t really changed to match inflation of living, etc and truly feel like I should be making a decent amount more given my skills. Any helpful advice?

Best gift you bought yourself in 2020? looking for ways to celebrate my raise and want to treat myself!

I'm part of a small R&D team within a big tech in Toronto, and my team's project was recently greenlit for incubation. So, starting next month, I'll be transitioning into a new product team and changing managers. I'd like to push for a transition raise. How much should I push for? My current base is 103k CAD and TC is around 170k. I've been in the company for almost 2 years now.

Can anyone speak to the promotion process/ requirements for DHG?

Is 27 too old for senior consultant? I look around and most are manager by 28. This is a serious post. I’m happy with the promotion but looking around seems like most are younger.

Thinking about asking for a raise. Anyone successfully done this midyear? Should I walk if I don't get it? Haven't seen a raise in two years, even though significantly increased responsibilities.

Is the 2 year promotion period in Consulting very normal?

If you’re a senior associate in the Chicago area (or similar COL city) please drop your salary and years of experience. I am waiting to hear about my annual raise and looking for help negotiating. I work in mid sized PA - 75k - 4 years overall experience - moving towards my second year of senior - high performer

The fact that these firms can so quickly and so easily raise salaries just goes to show that associates are grossly underpaid.

Haven’t gotten a raise in two years and I’m not happy at my current firm (we’re understaffed and overworked) but I’m planning on studying an LLM abroad. Any suggestions as to how to cope with the situation? I don’t want to look for another job if I’m leaving the country soon (that is if corona doesn’t have other plans).

I remember being at PwC, I was a high performer. Asked my relationship partner to meet to discuss a path to early promotion. His/Her response was "why does everyone want an early promotion around here". The advice I got was to network with partners...Thanks for the help.

What kind of raise can a staff 1 to staff 2 with above average reviews expect? Also joined in January so only have half a year of experience

AWS raises just came out and I got a 55% raise 🥵 thanks uncle Andy. Leave consulting, come to tech

Anyone who has/ heard of fbookers who successfully switched roles and gotten a promotion (L3 to L4)? Context I am planning a switch from analyst to data scientist from a non US location to US. However, L4 is needed for this jump (prob due to visa issues). With the current revamp in PSC cycle, I am not sure if I can successfully get promoted by next year and make the jump. To do so, I heard there needs to be 2 EE (for this half and next half). YOE 5, BASE 100K

Best suburb of Atlanta to raise a family? Up to an hour commute to the city is ok since will only be going in a day or two a week.

So Deloitte has announced mid-year market adjustment (for all functions) and retention bonus (for audit at least). I received comp comm today and pretty impressed by it - 17% salary increase and $35k bonus as a senior. Wondering if it’s what other PA firms are also doing to retain people now?

Hey, Did you guys get your INTERNET ALLOWANCE for the month of December 2021? I asked a bunch of people they all said NO, could anyone suggest on how to raise this issue. @cognizant

What factors would you look for in switching companies (within consulting)? Is a raise enough? Raise and promotion in title? Relocation? Travel preferences? Culture?

Hi folks! Would value your advice here. Pre-partner level (AP / Principal) at MBB — have failed the partner promotion and being asked to stick around for at least another 6-12 months as the firm believes in my potential (but of course no guarantee to make it). Gutted for not having been promoted despite the strong traction built. Have an offer from tier-2 (S&, EYP) to join as a partner with significant pay bump. Any of you have been in a similar spot? What would you do? Thanks all!

Few scenarios, please reply what % I can expect as hike:- 1. I am towards lower side of salary band of SL/designation and didn't get promotion 2. I am towards higher side of salary band of SL/designation and didn't get promotion 3. I am towards lower side of salary band of SL/designation and get promotion 4. I am towards higher side of salary band of SL/designation and get promotion (I personally more interested in this scenario) 5. On average side and with/without promotion

What are some good companies to work for in Dallas?

Changed my company but it didn't update!

When you have a great salary, family thinks you're in a great career, friends think you're hot shit from all the travel perks, but deep down you're faking it and still don't know what you're doing.

Anyone think there are too many hierarchical reporting levels on consulting teams? It is ironic because we try to increase spans of control at our clients but we do the opposite. 🤔

I’m interested in learning more about the A&M Dallas or Miami offices for PEPI - any current employees who’d be willing to chat about their experience? Thanks! Alvarez & Marsal

Screw this need some 🥃.

Why did you pick your firm? -for those fortunate enough to have options coming out of recruiting, what tipped the scales for you

Any fish based in LA area that have exited and whose companies are are looking for ex consultants? Looking to exit, happy to explore a variety of roles.

Have a near perfect GMAT score, put a ton of effort into my applications, and just got rejected by my safety MBA program… is it possibly because my “identity” isn’t right? (White male)

My uber driver is a Trump supporter. This is going to be a long ride home
