Let’s fight this virus together, called monkey pox

Yes! At this point, we have to seriously encourage people to get vaccinated against monkeypox. I am getting the same anxiety I had when Covid was just starting. Take care, folks!

I don't think we're anywhere near mass vaccination levels of spread. This isn't COVID; it's nowhere near as communicable. Let's keep the vaccines limited to the populations most affected and not cause a panic.

where is the Vax available who is eligible for it, is it similar to the small pox vaccine?

Ok well I don't do either activities, nor social life so I'm in the clear!

I just took my first flight in 5 months to go on PTO. Went to Cancun and felt safer there than at home. I flew Delta and Jetblue and they are blocking middle seats and their cleaning procedures are good, everyone with masks - i would not fly American

Hi fellow Thoughtworkers!
Needed some insights on the salary range/band for a senior con Data engineer with 7 yoe.

Current ctc 20.5 LPA ( due for a revisal.. Will go approx 24.5 LPA post assuming annual hike of 20% (which I feel is very low and would want to negotiate internally)

Any CPAs out there that decided to buy and run a business? Curious if my theory that after advising businesses how to run efficiently and effectively, that I could fairly easily deploy this experience in an existing business. Obviously I'm not ignorant that there will be obstacles to overcome but ultimately think it would be successful. For added context, I have an MBA, have focused of business development so understand sales and dealing with customers.

Thoughts welcome!

What can I do to start preparing now for a divorce and custody battle? My husband is a good dad to the kids but knows nothing abt important stuff related to raising them. I pay for school, daycare, clothes, activities, everything. I do school drop off, pickup, and everything in between. He’s never taken them to a drs appt or birthday party. He doesn’t even know their teachers names. But when/if I file for divorce, I know he will fight for them. Which makes no sense bc he works 80hrs a week.

I'm so happy to be raising my children in a decade when we've had breakouts of COVID, monkeypox, and polio. Hurray! Get your freaking vaccines, wash your hands, and keep your mouths to yourself, people.

Hello Everyone,

I hope all of you are doing well! I am new to Fishbowl and new to the Healthcare field. I very recently graduated with a B.A. in Human Resource Management and currently working as a Sourcing Specialist for TidalHealth - a large healthcare group in my area.

I was introduced to this app by a colleague of mine and am hoping to have a positive and education experience! I will be trying my best to keep interacted with members here and learn as much as I can.

Kind regards,

I'm on intermittent FMLA. When I come back, I'm moving to off shift. I was a dept lead and was led to believe I would continue in this role. My boss announced in a group meeting before I left that my supervisor role would be opened the day I come back. She said she "changed her mind". I discovered yesterday my position is on the internet already. I sent an email to my boss, and HR, asking if my pay had been decreased, no response. Can they post my job already? Can I call HR about my pay?

Hello Fellow Fishbowlers! Have 5 years before retiring at age 60. I WANNA DO SOMETHING FUN for the next 5-6 years! :) Can I get an insight on such a possible job (I know it’s a long shot!). Also, looking into the Care Coordinator role and/or related roles. Anyone doing it and Hating or Loving it? Also, shout out if you’re doing something that you enjoy doing everyday! (My job closed it’s doors after 16 years and I’m looking for something interesting to do daily). Thanks y’all!

Hello all
I am a biology graduate. I worked in cancer research and development for more than two years. Recently moved to Canada, and now I'm wanting to transition into clinical research.
Most jobs I find online ask for atleast 2 years clinical experience.
Does anyone have any tips on how to procure this experience? Should I invest in a course? Or should I volunteer at a CRO?
I recently got offered a clinical admin position, would this count as clinical exp?

Does anyone work for MultiCare acute care in Puyallup, WA? Or acute care in general? I currently work in outpatient Ortho and make $28/hr. What should I ask for in acute care?

I have been in my current position for 5 yrs with minimal pay increases despite consistent praise from management for being one of the strongest in our department. I hold specialty certifications, staff in ICU and ED, am part of several hospital committees, and regularly perform formulary reviews/MUEs/guideline updates. I recently found out that a new hire with no experience was brought in at a higher hourly rate than myself and several other female staff. Suggestions on steps to take with mgmt?

Does anyone know any CROs hiring for CRAs for people who were former clinicians? Looking to make the jump to research.

What has everyone heard about Tpoxx so far? From my understanding, even though it's experimental for monkeypox, some of the doctors are pushing to get it covered for treatment but they need to submit tons of paperwork and consent forms. Thoughts?

Working on my BHA and I’m interested in becoming a lisenced nursing home administrator in NY. Is the exam difficult?

I want to be able to move up to program manager, data analytics manager, and more senior positions in my future. I currently hold a bachelors in Healthcare administration since 2018 and and working 4 years into my first role. Do you guys suggest going back for my Masters for example an MPH or MBA to advance or should I get certifications and continue my learning this way? What are your thoughts? Thank you!

Ca 41510 Bay Area,Hi, hello hope everyone is having a successful day! Any suggestions on what a master scheduler should be making $$$/ surgery scheduler ) over 89% of surgeries are scheduled and completed and over 95% keep routine appointments and follow up . Appreciate your time!

Has anyone gone from a registered dental hygienist into nursing or healthcare management? If so, how was the transition and is the pay scale any better than what you receive as an RDH?

Hello! Any CST/CSFAs on here? I'm curious about your salary and location! My small community hospital was recently bought by a very large hospital system. They gave large raises to 95% of our employees across all specialties (some called what they got "life changing") but our group was overlooked or disregarded with no explanation! Now we are losing employees (4 have put in notices in the last 3 weeks and pretty much everyone is looking). Any suggestions on getting someone to reassess our wage?

What’s the trick to get call backs for jobs you applied for. I want a hospital job and I live in New York city . So the competition is intense I think …. Any tips

I worked for Kaiser Permanente and now United Health Group. I need some likes so I can ask questions. Shoot me a message if you have any as well.
