$450+ bonus…. partner at Deloitte
What do people at Deloitte do? Is it all management consulting? I know DD is huge - but can you explain.
~95K, I feel lucky to earn this much and to enjoy my job and feel excited about growth.
In 2008, my mom lost her job. Our family of 5 survived on my dad’s income of like 40K, and she worked the oddest odd jobs so we could keep the home we grew up in, as debt piled up.My parents are young and still working. Neither of them went to college. Their marriage almost ended in the aftermath of the Great Recession over concerns about debt and fears about the future. In the last few years, they both hit the 6 figure mark, and all us kids are grown up. I’m proud of them, they’re proud of all of us
$150+ bonus… VP at Citi, 5 years in. Love it here! 10+ years prior agency experience in NYC. I’m hiring for a Jr role in a few weeks. The person will manage updates on our brand portal by working with our web developers. We’re looking for someone who is a great communicator, has great attention to detail, can deliver projects on schedule and is passionate to go the extra mile. DM if interested
Hi! How jr? I might be interested but I think I’m at the top end of jr, ha. 5 YOE
I don’t work on the ad side anymore but I thought it might be helpful:
2011- $36k account coordinator (agency)
2013 - $42k media specialist (in-house)
2015 - $56k senior associate (agency)
2018- $67k account supervisor (agency)
2019- $85k comms director (in-house)
2020 - $85k assist comms director (government)
2022- $128k (nonprofit)
The only product agencies sell is talent, so the way to make money as an agency owner is to leverage every capitalism principle there is to exploit the workers and collect the profits. I can promise you there are more financially rewarding and more sustainable careers outside of advertising. Do yourself a favor and go find one sooner than later.
Really want to know, what would those more financially rewarding careers be? I definitely want to continue to be a creative thinker, an idea person and problem solver. I love considering audience and user experience and delivering on authenticity (vs BS). This has got to be marketable in any number of lucrative areas—what are they? I am NOT beholden to marketing or advertising and could definitely go client side. In all seriousness, I’m asking, what other careers in this vein earn a good living ~$130—180,000?
$150K base, account director - would not say I love this job but haven’t yet figured out how to pivot without going backwards in salary (or maybe that’s just what it’ll take, but I’m not quite resigned to that yet)
I should share that I don’t have major complaints about my salary, I’m comfortable and feel reasonably compensated, I just no longer enjoy this work.
100K - Project Manager. Fully remote. Don’t love it, don’t hate it 🤷♀️
Is your company hiring? Lol
87k....and left the job because they should have been paying me 100k for the work I was doing 🔥
$70k, Content Marketing Strategist. Don’t love it, don’t hate it. I’m running all our marketing efforts as the only marketing hire and definitely believe I’m underpaid.
what company?
Currently $70k Senior Media Associate (SEM activation), but just accepted a Paid Search Manager job for 90k. Based in Atlanta GA.
VP Account Director 161k. Like the job but wish the campaigns I work on were more inspiring. I am also making on the low side for my company.
95k digital PM in canada 15 yrs experience
Client side, LA, $300k
Did you move to Entertainment?
170k + 90k bonus as a Senior Art Director in NYC
90k bonus?! 🤯
$200K+ depending on gigs. NYC-based. Currently working client side but often mix and match with agency work too (often pharma). Love everyone’s transparency. Best way we can all support each other and get paid what we all deserve!
85. Senior visual designer. NYC. I lead and manage a small team. I like my job, but the company refuses to pay me a fair senior salary, so I’m looking for something new.
125, AD Analytics, feel overworked and underpaid because of golden handcuffs (visa)
190k. VP. It’s not my dream job but I get paid well and have a great team, so I can’t complain too much.
ACD - 106k - some days good but most days meh/too much urgency for no reason.. some projects cool but most meh… but I like my coworkers overall so here I am 🥴
Yesss painfully aware it’s low and looking to move roles asap 🥹
179k + bonus as a CD. Like my job and am grateful for the paycheck but would choose spending time with my kids over work any day
67K...associate pm. I like my agency, but I'm trying to get my first promotion and PMs are very slow to climb up the ladder, I have 3yrs exp and haven't been promoted once.
I’m hiring a PM. Holla.
$300 base. gig is good
^ Also would like to know this 👀
140 + 15% bonus + stock / fully remote from NYC / Lead Strategist / I hope I like it. I start next week and turned down more $$$ client side in tech for what I heard was better WLB 🤞
